1Lincoln40, I've been watching via AcornTV so I only get to see one episode per week, but the last 3 or 4 episodes have been really interesting....definitely less Higgins which is a relief, more of Watts (he's so quirky, I do enjoy him) as well as George, and I love the whole premise of William and Julia writing...those episodes (11-14) were Annabella Cinderella, Six of the Best, Murdoch and the Undetectable Man, and Sins of The Father.  All in all, these felt more like the MM of "old", i.e. entertaining and enjoyable:) .

1Lincoln40, I know you love George Crabtree/Jonny Harris, so I am wondering if you have seen Jonny's CBC TV show, Still Standing.  I discovered it on Amazon Prime, but it looks like it might also be viewable via Youtube (subscription, I think).  I think it's a great concept and he really does a wonderful job relaying the history of the towns, and is really a great comedian to boot!

"Still Standing is a Canadian television series, which premiered on CBC in summer 2015.[1] The fourth season began airing in September 2018.

A hybrid comedy/reality series, the program features actor and comedian Jonny Harris. In each episode, Harris travels to small Canadian communities which are financially struggling but "still standing" and spends time getting to know the residents and their lifestyles. At the end of the trip, Harris performs a stand-up comedy show for the town's residents, into which he integrates some of his newfound insights about life in their community.[1] In the television format, however, clips from the comedy show are interspersed throughout the episode rather than occurring specifically at the end."

Thanks for that Fjordmom. Have to confess that I have still not watched the last 6 episodes of the season. It was such a chore trying to get through this last season which is the first time this happened with this show.
