No worries....but I did watch the one episode I hadn't yet thinking it might be about euthanasia, so I checked the CBC website and it looks like they have aired the entire season which explains why you are ahead of me ....ACORNTV streaming is only doling it out slowly, so last night was ep 7, The Accident....it was definitely interesting to me from a medical standpoint, but soooooo sad. Looks like some interesting eps coming up -- I did read the synopses on the CBC site.

Fjordmom I'm in the UK and I see Murdoch on the cable channel Alibi - "the home of crime drama" which only shows detective type shows. alibi.uktv.co.uk/
I'm also a little confused (easily done) as I think they may have skipped an episode. I don't think that I missed the one with Brackenreid & Crabtree undercover in a boys school.
The one I saw on Monday was episode 7, the accident and it was interesting. Set in such a small space and wow indeed soo sad. I kept thinking, "it's Murdoch" and that Julia's diagnoses would be wrong but no. And no jarring music as that final scene played out made that scene even more poignant for me. I also wanted to give that trolley car driver a smack. No sympathy for the man trapped just selfishly wanting to know when the accident area would be cleared.
And as the reviewer on imdb said how is it that this series in its 11th season can still produce some interesting stories and yet Castle failed so miserably towards the end when it had that advantage of two leads with the most amazing chemistry, which for me is yet to be equalled let alone surpassed.

B That sounds like a really neat cable channel, lucky you!!!! So I guess Acorn and Alibi are on the same schedule? My memory is definitely not what it used to be so perhaps I just forgot the part about euthanasia from a previous episode . And your last para is unfortunately soooooooo true!!!!!!!

Ok so on Monday (Feb.19) according to imdb listing, the UK showed episode 6 which was the undercover school episode. However somehow it made sense to show it after the accident. Brackenreid's son had a taste of detective work and Crabtree encouraged someone's talent. However for me, ominous feelings about Julia and her desire to give William a child. As I have said previously, I really, really hope that if Helene has decided this will be her last season (if Murdoch continues to a 12th!) that she doesn't allow herself to be killed either giving birth to a son or mother and child not surviving.

We just finished Season 2. I am waiting to get season 3 from our local library. We are so far behind but we are looking forward to viewing the many seasons ahead.

Tycho - welcome to the series! It's one of those shows that is just 'gentle' viewing. No violence seen just the bodies, no swearing or sex. It is most definitely a 'will they, won't they?' between the detective and the pathologist. There is an interesting use of modern technology when they 'invent' something to help with an investigation. Also back in the day when imdb had a message board, some fans would argue about Murdoch's shirt collars?? It's one of the many reasons why I love forums! There is also of course social comment of what was and was not allowed. One of those being that Murdoch would never rise above detective because he is a Catholic. Little things like that make some of the episodes interesting, at least to me. Finally, there are also 3 movies with a completely different cast which precedes the series. Not sure if they are based on the novels. B

B Interesting about the order change of episodes. Have you heard any rumors of Helene making this the last season? And for sure, if they have to write her character out, I don't want childbirth to be the vehicle. Here's hoping they don't have to go that route and can end the show in a satisfying way, if they decide to stop production.

OK, just watched "Brackenreid's Boudoir"..... I have mixed feelings about it... I love art and have dabbled in it over the years so it was very amusing to hear William and Julia in their discussions, but the premise of this episode was too contrived for me... and I think you'll like the final scene, but still I felt like they were trying just a bit too hard with this episode. Or maybe I'm just cranky this week!

Fjordmom - thanks for the heads up! I get to see the art episode this Monday (Feb.26) With regards Helene, no I haven't heard anything about her leaving or whether there will indeed be a 12th season. Should you hear something, I hope that you will share, as I will of course. It's just the way that they are dealing with her desire to give William a child.
And thank you for your kind words with the way in which I described the series to tycho. By the by, have you seen the 3 movies?

Fjordmom - I agree with your comments regarding the art episode and the final scene whilst sweet, did nothing to calm my fears that something is going to happen with Julia should she become pregnant. So for me it's the writers, EP's playing the "will they, won't they" have a baby, Julia dies... Proves you can keep your audience guessing even after your couple get married. It just takes knowing your characters and having the ideas to make it work... I mean can you imagine if Kate had fallen pregnant? What would their reaction have been to the news? Can you imagine how excited Rick may have been? All the fun that we missed out on...

I do hope they don't go that route... I'm still hopeful that they'll deal with the whole possible pregnancy -- or not -- to keep us happy!!!! Watched F.L.A.S.H. last night....again, maybe I'm getting cranky in my older age, but I still think they're going a bit too over the top with this and the last episode, especially Brackenreid. Found Julia and William's new "code" word with a little search on the internet.....lemniscate...I learn something new every day!!!!

Just saw Talking Dead and I really liked it. Obituaries in the newspaper before the victims end up dead. Trying to save the ones not yet dead. Trying to figure out their connection to each other and of course, who doing it? I immediately thought of a Marple episode A Murder is Announced. It was a fun episode.
My next one is FLASH.

Just saw FLASH and it was one of those "out there" episodes where nothing much seemed to happen. Definitely enjoyed Talking Dead more. And did I miss why there was no George in FLASH but that other idiot Henry? I also found myself getting angry again. How is it that Murdoch in their 11th season can still allow William & Julia to have fun as a married couple but Castle couldn't? Very professional at the crime scene but in private...naughty detective & doctor!!
