I'm back to finish my thoughts on episode 3. The next morning, when Will shares his worries about the team being so divided with Susan, she reassures him that they'll be OK because he always puts everyone else first. Will really does come across as the father figure and leader of the team, despite the fact that he and Frankie have been designated as co-leaders. That scene ends with Will joking about his boyish good looks and Susan tells him he's an idiot! As the team tries to get the guy's daughter back, Standish, with his tiny little gun, accidentally shoots Jai in the arm! I remember shrieking in laughter the first time I saw that! Priceless!!!!! I mentioned earlier that I saw this episode as a real turning point for the team and the scene in the van as they tracked Marco was the climax of the tension and disfunction before things started to right themselves. The guy they needed was dead, the girl was gone, the bomb was going off today and Standish just shot Jai. It all brings out the worst in everyone. Frankie and Will are literally screaming at each other. It's the only time I can think of in the entire series that Will was so worked up. Earlier too, I mentioned a couple of times when Will drew a line in the sand with Frankie and there was another one in this scene. Frankie defends wanting to torture Andrews to get him to talk and Will tells her in no uncertain terms that torturing a man who's trying to protect his child is always a no on this team! "Are we clear?" This kind of authority over Frankie is very rare. Will's frustration continues - Will - Why did I waste a second of my time trying to bond with you? You have not been honest with me since the moment we started working together. We don't even know who the hell she really is! Frankie - You want to know who I am? Will - Tell me. Frankie - I'm a killer and now I'm your partner! Enjoy! I think it's safe to say that this was about as bad as it could get between the two of them. Susan can hardly believe it and asks Jai to help by talking to Frankie if she talks to Will but Jai says Frankie won't listen to him. Then Jai has a GREAT line. "What do you expect? It's an arranged marriage." As they turn their attention back to finding the bomb, things start to improve and we actually see the team pull together. Jai and Standish will work together in the van and Frankie and Will locate the bomb. I thought it was clever writing the way they came back to the "ladies first" comment from the opening segment when Will went down to find the bomb first. We got a little hint of what was to come when Frankie gave Will a compliment of sorts by calling him a "real man" as he popped up and attacked Marco. I enjoyed the reference to the classic game of Operation, but it's hard to imagine Jai growing up playing it! Loved Frankie sitting on Will so he could direct her hand and they had a nice exchange when she told him he was a capable agent and Will told her she was a cakewalk. It seemed to be the beginning of mending fences. It was a charming moment after the bomb was disarmed and their eyes connected. I was glad we got to see them rescue the girl and seeing Frankie's soft spot was a treat after that scene in the van. Jai and Susan were good and Jai even started to rebuild with Standish. They left me with a sense that the team had turned a corner and were really going to try to make this work. One more goofy observation - The last scene with the team doing their toast to a successful mission must have been filmed when Scott Foley had a bad cold or sinus issues. He sounds like he was miserable!

Episode 4 - Mrs. and Mr. Trowbridge From wedding crashing to endless clashing, Will and Frankie head to Paris where they must grudgingly pose as a married couple to infiltrate a wedding and capture a genocidal Romanian general. I have been so anxious to get to this one! It's one of my favorites for so many reasons! Even the title is so perfect! For starters, this is one of the very BEST opening segments IMO. Talk about a work of art! I don't know if it's the director or the writers or someone else who came up with the way to film the scene of Will and Frankie getting into the gallery room, looking for the nerve gas, but whomever it was, had a wonderful interpretation. The scene came across as a ballet of sorts, with sexy music in the background, really cool lighting and a whole lot of suggestive physical contact. I'm no doubt a total nerd when it comes to subtext and interpreting scenes, and I loved all of the symbolic details about the dance. It started with a great line from Frankie. After Standish said he thought they should have "Frankied" the guy and broken some fingers to get him to talk, Frankie says, 'Stop using my name as a verb!" Standish assures her that it's a compliment. Frankie thinks being in Paris would be hard for Will because of his breakup with Gigi but Will affirms that Gigi did him a solid by breaking up with him because now he knows that his true soulmate is still out there. Yes, he'll never stop looking for true love. The man is relentless - in the best of ways! As they activate the laser alarm system, Will asks Frankie to dance, setting the tone for the scene. As they make their way across the room, helping each other, there are little bits that highlight their differences. First Will references Rembrandt and his lifelong faithfulness to his wife, which Will values and Frankie suggests is boring. Then the two separate and go around the pedestal in the center of the room on different sides, divided again. Then Frankie references Picasso and a life driven by lust, which has been her mantra so far. I could feel the heat between them when Will looked down at Frankie and said, "There's something to be said for lust." WHEW! That and the 2 times when Will pulled her up chest to chest with him were a delightful tease! Appropriately, the scene ends with a great tandem high step over the last laser beam, symbolizing their working together. This whole dance was a nerdgasm for me!

So, they're off to the wedding to take down the general and, while Will kills at weddings, Frankie is less than thrilled to be posing as Mrs. Dan Flemming, Will's wife! Their arrival at the hotel is to the tune of "I've Got You Babe," by Sonny and Cher. Just another of the awesome music choices in the series! We go right to their first night together as they prepare for bed and it was a delightful back and forth. Topics included missing the cocktail hour, Dan's love of vintage cars, Frankie's garment bag full of guns, the butter dish wedding gift, Will's bucket list dream of sleeping in a canopy bed -"Couch it is," as Frankie pulled her gun and my favorite, the ground rules. Frankie makes it clear that there will be no nicknames, to which Will replies, "Boo, come on Honey!" and there's also NO PDA! Frankie threatens to break his fingers if he tries to hold her hand! They are hysterical! The next morning, Will goes out for an early run. I would have LOVED to see them dancing around each other as they shared a bathroom and got dressed for the day! I've been playing around with that idea in my mind and having fun imagining the awkwardness. Later, when they meet up, Frankie tells Will he woke her up and the ground rules go out the window again as he says, "I'm sorry, Boo," and he touches her arm. Frankie doesn't seem to mind! I've got to say that I was a bit surprised that only 4 episodes in, we got their first kiss, even though it was an undercover one. This scene was so well done and I MAY have seen it a gazillion times!!!!!! Frankie notices a woman checking Will out and Will complains that Frankie's body language makes it look like he's single. In order to keep their cover, Will urges Frankie to use body language but he's gobsmacked when Frankie grabs him and kisses him long and hard! The very first shot of the kiss is so funny because Frankie missed his lips entirely! The following shots were much better, especially as she gently caresses the back of his head and his ear. Will is pretty breathless as he says, "that was better." DUH!!!!! Watching Jai and Standish watch the kiss is pure comedy gold! Not a word is said but those guys totally steal the scene! Afterward, Will tells Frankie the kiss sure fooled him and they're both still a little shook up by it . Frankie breaks the ground rules as she heads off to the women's locker room to find Michelle, the assassin, and she calls Will, "Boo." When Will comes to help Frankie he says they just had their first fight as a married couple. However, in the pilot, they posed as an arguing newlywed couple to get across a border so it was actually their second!

The blanket scene! More breaking of the ground rules and such a delightful tease for us! When Vasili walks by, Will reaches for Frankie calling her, "Babe," and stroking her arm. Will implies that their role playing could be as real as they want it to be, kind of showing his cards that he's feeling a genuine attraction. Then we get a genuine connection between them as Frankie opens up a bit about her past. When Frankie says that she never thought her life would end up like it has, Will says he's glad it did and we see a big time LEANING in for a kiss! Dang! I wanted it to happen! But, Frankie bolts, which is in keeping with her character but still ....... The episode hits a HUGE turning point when Will sees Frankie making out with Vasili. Not only did it spark jealousy in Will but there was a genuine HURT It's made worse when Vasili taunts Will at the shooting range by saying his wife is lovely. I loved that Will released some of his anger by ramming his gun into Vasili's gut! Meanwhile, Frankie is getting roped into being a bridesmaid - her idea of Hell! I've found myself really liking the confrontation scene between Will and Frankie when they arrive on different paths in the trees. It's a beautiful setting! They're both worked up about it. Will feels Frankie showed a lack of character and could have blown their cover by cheating on their fake marriage. Frankie is defensive telling Will she can do what and whomever she pleases - or rather Mary could! It's obvious that both of them are struggling to separate the real from the role. Later, when Will is telling Susan about Frankie, it's so clear how betrayed he feels, but he sure doesn't appreciate Susan pointing out his jealousy! I guess what I really liked is that the writers showcased both Will and Frankie's values as well as the major sexual tension between them. Standish is a hoot as he takes care of delivering drugged wine and motivates the guard with his impromptu song! Later, after the guard is also drugged, I loved the way Standish kind of slid away behind the door. As Will and Frankie sneak in to nab the general, they continue to have words and it really hit the nail on the head. Frankie accuses Will of mixing the personal and the professional and he accuses her right back of doing the same. Will asks, "Is it really that hard to be faked married to me?" and Frankie tells him it is because he gives her these looks like he's trying to connect. Proof positive that she was definitely feeling it between them! Will tells her she was doing the same thing and then he says, "Frankie, I hate to tell you, you have a heart and a pulse and the capacity to feel." Frankie growls back, "Take that back!" Only Frankie would consider that an insult!

The scene between Susan and Ray took a surprising turn IMO, when Ray calls Susan out on her pity party over having to stay at home for this mission. It was the beginning of a very real connection between them and Susan even requests that Ray be allowed to stay and celebrate with the team afterwards for the first time. Big turning point! The Wedding. The chapel where it was filmed was gorgeous, as was Will, all dressed up in the formal tux. What a hoot that the old lady he was seating propositioned him! I also have to say that Frankie looked beautiful! Not so much the dress but her hair and makeup were fantastic. That dress precipitated this hilarious exchange: Frankie - "Susan, we're going to have to move fast before this gets ugly." Will - "Not as ugly as that dress." If looks could kill, Frankie would have taken Will out in a heartbeat, as Will tries to keep a straight face. Scott Foley's facial expressions were priceless! However, the best moment of the wedding for me was when all Hell broke loose and Will took a moment to deck Vasili! I laughed so hard over the surprise of that! My husband was in another room and hollered out asking me what was so funny. I had to feel good for Will as he gets a couple of "personal victories." The first is when Paul, the groom/agent, admits he's fallen in love with Iona and then also when his vintage car outruns the general's plane. The background music in the car chase scene was particularly good, I thought, and I loved seeing Will's aggressive driving. The best moment of the car scene was when Frankie was ranting about Paul blowing the mission over true love and Paul pops up from the backseat asking Will, "Is she always like this?" Will replies, "No. no, she's usually meaner." Not only was the comment funny, but the way they positioned Paul so that the camera didn't show him behind Will until that moment, was great. Susan and Ray weren't the only ones who had a turning point in this episode. Jai apologized to Standish by explaining why he has this need for chronic attention to detail, wanting Standish to realize that he understands why he's difficult to like. Standish is so easy going and accepting of everyone. I love his character! Out of all of the ending Dead Drop scenes, this is one of my favorites and it has to do with character. Will leaves the group quickly to go play pool alone and Frankie follows him after a minute with his beer in hand. Not only does she offer Will his beer, but she also offers herself to him. I was shocked that she did it. After a moment of contemplation, Will takes the beer and thanks her for it but walks away. My response was, "YES!" I was so happy that the writers stayed true to his character. Will is not looking for a one night stand or a booty call, such as he witnessed Frankie doing with Vasili. As much as he may feel attracted to Frankie, he wants a relationship. In that final scene, I liked the director's choice to play it out slowly, lingering on each of their faces. It really made it impactful, AND, if the truth be told, I sure didn't mind gazing at Scott Foley a few extra seconds! WHEW! That man is good looking!

Mr. and Mrs. Trowbridge is one of my very favorite episodes with the various character pairings (Will/Frankie, Standish/Jai, Susan/Ray) all having their moments of "spats" (especially Frankie and Will) and then some breakthroughs as far as understanding and apologies. SOME FAVORITE SCENES: Standish's desk with all its varied food items and Jai's digging at him by calling him Edgar. ------- The laser dance....I loved the choreographed dance movements! Some very clever people put this show together!!!! I wonder how they did it, and whether Lauren does her own stunts? It sure seemed like both she and Scott where doing all the "moves" (both physically and emotionally ). --------- I felt so bad for Susan being left at home to do profiling, when she clearly would have loved to have gone. Ana Ortiz does a wonderful job. ---------- In the hotel room, when Frankie is setting her "limits": "No honey, no boo, just Mary, got it?" Will: "Boo, come on honey." nathanfan1, I missed the part where Frankie calls him Boo....love it! --------- Standish and Jai rooming together, on their first mission...Jai: "Didn't we discuss the slob thing?" ---------- The morning after their first night at the hotel... Frankie: I don't do eggs...or inane chitchat. Will: Inane? ----- THE KISS Frankie: Think she bought it? Will: Fooled me. Jai and Standish looking on, drinking champagne in sync. ___________ The scene on the lawn, with Frankie and Will drinking wine and playing their roles as a married couple....kinda You can see Frankie softening, wanting to kiss Will, leaning in, and then the look lof shutting down her emotions flickers across her face and she pulls back. Lauren Cohan is SO good at changing emotions, and so quickly. __________ Will has that wonderful look on his face when he sees a couple kissing on the way back into the hotel, and then the deep disappointment on Will's face, when he realizes the couple kissing is Frankie and Vasili. __________ Frankie and Will's spat in the woods about Vasili, Will fearing Frankie would blow their cover, Will getting so deeply into his role because he really does believe in love and fidelity, whereas Frankie.....nope! (At least not yet!) ----------- The wedding decor and outfits were gorgeous. I loved the tuxedos and color scheme. Will sure was handsome...and Frankie appears in her dress...with sneakers on!!!!! Frankie: We're going to have to move fast, things are going to get ugly....Will: Not as ugly as that dress.... and then Will has that look on his face after he made his comment to Frankie, almost as if he is thinking "hmmm, did I actually say that? !!!!!" I definitely laughed out loud at that one!!!!!!! Frankie elbows her processional partner when he reaches for Frankie's hand. -------------- The anguished look on Paul's face as he prepares to take a shot at Iona and her father, which he is unable to do... Paul: I couldn't....I love her. Frankie: Can no one just do their job? Will: True love. Yeah, I know this isn't good, but at the same time it's kind of a personal victory for me.

Thanks for sharing all those special moments, Fjordmom! I'd forgotten about Frankie elbowing Vasili in the wedding procession. Definitely one of those sneaky little comedic moments! For anyone reading along as we relive the 13 episodes, we're going to take a break for a few weeks. Summer is a busy time and, as much as we love them, the Whiskey team is going to have to take a backseat to family and friends for a bit. However, we'll definitely be back to carry on with episode 5 and beyond when time permits! Hope all of you are enjoying the fun of summer!

E5 - THE ENGLISH JOB The biggest takeaway for me was Will's continuing desire to talk things out, AGAIN!!, and Frankie's reluctance to do so, although there were definitely some breakthroughs in her letting her feelings toward Will show throughout the episode. And her trust issues. But unfortunately, Emma comes into he picture to slow things down.... There were so many funny moments, as usual, but here's a few that I particularly liked. Will, Frankie and Standish are sent to England to help investigate a US diplomat murdered at the home of a British politician, Lord Barnes. I laughed out loud with "George" and "Peggy" from the audit team, each wearing rather frumpy, wrinkled outfits, and glasses.... and after "George" introduces the two of them to the security person, "Peggy" says "Hey ho." to him. Will talking about "what happened between us the other day" while they're crammed together in the computer room. Frankie wants to be "colleagues" only. Susan to Will during their conversation on the bench: You are the king of emotional availability, I am the queen of the peptalk. The scene when Frankie and Will are interrogating Lord Barnes: Will: You're hiding something...it wasn't just a business dinner was it?.... Barnes: We were in love, we didn't plan it, it just happened. Frankie: So he lied to the police, and ruined his reputation. W: Yeah, for love. F: Reckless. But understandable...(A very surprised look on Will's face.) ...that you might risk everything, if you believe in that sort of thing. W: I do, do you? And darn Emma Davies shows up before they get any further with that conversation!!!!!! A bit (ha ha) of tension ensues between Frankie and Emma. In the meetup later with Emma, Frankie doesn't trust Emma, thinks it's a trap, with Will responding "Have you ever thought about asking your therapist just to skip right ahead to your trust issues?" Another funny scene with Emma and Frankie picking the two locks of the entry door at Hardwick(?) Estate, Emma fiddles for a while trying to unlock hers, while Frankie is done quite quickly. F: You want help? E: No thank you. F: You sure?... E: Yup.... F: Taking a long time, must do it differently iin England. Will and Frankie hiding crammed into the cabinet... again... with Will trying to talk things out with Frankie...again. Towards the end of the ep, Frankie apologizes to Will for accusing Emma of double crossing them. "I shouldn't have lost focus... and "We obviousy have a connection" but she backs away from pursuing a relationship. In a nod to Emma's conversation with Will in the beginning of the ep about getting ice cream Frankie goes to "relieve some tension" with Liam...but ends up asking him if he wants to get ice cream...to which he asks "Do you put the ice cream on me or do I put it on you?" with Frankie quickly responding, "Goodbye, Liam." Emma shows up at the bar, kisses Will, and of course Frankie (who seems to me to have a hopeful look on her face) opens the door and sees this. Ugh, life is so darn complicated!!!! I did look up a translation for the lyrics of Despacito since this was used at least twice in this episode...ooh la la!!!! Certainly fits Will and Frankie. I look forward to your more thorough recap and thoughts, nathanfan1!!!!

We're baaaack! We're going to pick up where we left off, discussing the episodes of Whisky Cavalier, resuming with episode 5 - The English Job. Here's the summary -
While investigating suspicious robberies in London, Will hits it off with a sexy British spy leaving Frankie with some unexpected feelings that she doesn't know how to process. Meanwhile, Jai competes with Susan over who is more intelligent, and Standish deals with a case of shellshock.

My turn! I'm so happy to have a reason to watch these episodes again! Will and Frankie dressed up and acting like nerd auditors is hysterical! Once they get into the computer center, Will wants to take the opportunity to discuss what transpired between them at the end of episode 4. Frankie approached Will at the pool table and offered herself to him. Will kind of shut her down and walked away, which I thought was totally in character for him and I was so glad he did it. But, he doesn't want Frankie to feel bad and he'd like to explain. So, despite Frankie saying she'd never like to discuss it, he goes right ahead and tells her she doesn't make him feel safe, and ever since the mess with Gigi, he needs to feel safe in a relationship. Frankie states that she just wants to be a colleague and Will agrees that it's fine for now. I thought that was a good way to lessen the pressure and allow them to work together more easily. Standish, who's up on the roof, gets shot at and falls down many stories but lands in the trash bin. I loved his reaction as he told Will, "No, I'm down by the van." Great delivery! Back at the Dead Drop, Frankie gives Will the cold shoulder and tells Susan about Will claiming that he doesn't feel safe with her. Frankie seems to think that Will just figures she's out for sex. Susan asks Frankie how many of her boyfriends have died and Frankie pauses to calculate! "Six ...... tops." Susan's reaction is hysterical. Apparently, Will should not only be worried about getting emotionally hurt, but also getting killed!!!!!! Meanwhile, Will checks on Standish after his brush with death, falling off the building. Standish thinks he's fine but Will assures him that he'll be there whenever Standish needs to talk. I like how Will always looks out for the well being of his team. He's a great leader. As Will and Frankie get the mission details from Ray, he tells them that their target has lawyered up. Frankie grins and says she has a way around that. Will eyes her and then mutters, "That's bad news for Lord Barnes." Oh how I love the humor in this show!!!!! So they're off to London!

There really are 3 distinct story lines running throughout this episode. The main one is Will and Frankie trying to find their footing again after Will turning Frankie down and that's complicated by Frankie's jealousy of Emma. Another theme is Standish dealing with his near death experience and then there's the persecution of Jai by Ray and Susan as they try to make him feel intellectually inferior to other members of the team. When Ray first starts to torment Jai, he has a classic line - "Well I have 4 1/2 years of community college and you don't hear me bragging about it." Only Ray could come up with that one! Poor Jai continues to get punked at The Hive, over how many languages he speaks and being able to hack into a phone. I felt badly for Jai. Ray said he thought Jai needed to be taken down a peg but I never thought Jai bragged about his skills or put himself above others. At least Ray and Susan admit that they were playing him and Jai is able to get the last word when Ray gets cavity searched at the airport! It all actually turns into a team bonding experience. Standish ends up needing the counseling from Will that he turned down earlier and I love that scene where Will appears out of nowhere and then stares at Standish until he talks. Will is such a good leader! Standish comes through big time in the end when he has to climb up the tower and go out on a ledge to disconnect the security system. It's a great moment of triumph! Now, back to the main story line. I've said many times how much I appreciate the artistry in this series. This episode had another example of that in the scene where Will and Susan are sitting on a bench against the white wall of a building, with 2 windows on either side of them. The visual image is stunning! As the 2 of them talk, Will is skirting around his real issue - that he misses working with Frankie. He says they make a pretty good team! I agree! Then there's another fabulous moment when there's dead silence and the camera pulls back just showing Will and Susan sitting on the bench. It's really high impact! I'm guessing the episode's director gets credit for the way it was all filmed. Will admits to Susan that he doesn't want to get burned in a relationship with Frankie but she reminds him that their lives are full of risk all the time and that he's always been willing to risk his heart. The pep talk works and I was left with the feeling that Will would continue to try to reach out to Frankie and try to build something more than a colleague relationship. BUT, that didn't happen! Nevertheless, both Will and Frankie seemed delighted to see each other when she pulled up in the cab. Again, I thought we were maybe coming to a major moment when Will and Frankie were questioning the British guy and Frankie seemed to accept that people sometimes risk it all for love. Will says he believes in that and asks if she does too. Frankie sure looks like she's ready to admit that she does, when in walks Emma. It wasn't quite as bad as an interrupted kiss but REALLY? Frankie's radar lights up in a hurry when Emma openly flirts with Will and the jealousy starts to build! I got a kick out of Frankie revealing that she has quite an array of skills, as she leaves Will wondering just how many past lives she's had! She gets hired on to be a safe cracker and then needs Will to be the "muscle" on the team. While Will doesn't look like a brut, he sure has what it takes in a fight. One of the funniest lines for me was when Frankie said to Will, "Sorry, no ice cream for you." When Will and Frankie are outed during the robbery, Frankie is sure that Emma is the one who turned on them and the green eyed monster roars on!

I've finally had time to finish the episode. Back at the Hive, Frankie suggests that Emma is the one who blew their cover, and while Will firmly disagrees, he still respects Frankie's point of view and orders Emma's phone records to be hacked. I really appreciated that! When Will and Frankie go to meet Emma, there are some great lines. Frankie's ready to shoot Emma and Will says, "Let's hear her out and THEN you can shoot her." As they try to escape the police, Will shouts to Frankie on the roof of the car, "Frankie, did you see that? She's a way better shot than you!" Those two are so fun antagonizing each other! By the way, Lauren Cohan really did do that whole stunt herself! Loved the scene with Will and Frankie stuck together in the wardrobe. Of course Will wants to talk! I was hoping for action! If I'd known then what I know now - the sniper with the red glove and The Trust ....... Awesome scene back at The Hive when Frankie comes to Will with coffee and she's ready to make a statement about their relationship. I loved the warm way she started with, "Hey partner." I think Will was pretty shocked that she admitted she was wrong about Emma but she never does use the word 'jealous.' She admits that they have a connection but because of their jobs, they can't get involved. Will understands but he doesn't like it. Then, when Frankie says she's sorry that she can't be the girl he gets ice cream with, Will says the GREATEST thing - "I can get ice cream with anybody. You and me, we save the world." I read soooooo much into that statement! I think Will is trying to tell her how important she is in his life. Using the label 'girlfriend' just isn't enough. I truly believe that the writers were headed down a long , slow path of having the 2 of them become so completely entangled in each other's lives, that they would simply realize one day that they were meant to be together forever. I know - I'm a SAP! . It was definitely heartbreaking to see Frankie at the door of the Dead Drop, all smiling and eager to see Will, only to witness him kissing Emma. sigh ................ I'll have more to say about that relationship as we move on!

Here we go with episode 6!
The team encounters a kidnapped baby while on a drug related mission and they decide to go rogue in an effort to take down the human trafficking ring responsible. Caring for the baby brings out a whole variety of feelings among the team members.
This is also the introduction of a new, recurring character - Tina - who is played by Scott Foley's real life wife.

Wow! It's been nearly a month since I posted the summary for episode 6 and I'm just now getting around to rewatching and sharing comments. Life has gotten in the way of my Whiskey habit! Well, I'm back in the groove and ready to share so here we go! It's a sweet opening with Will and Emma making kissy face at Will's apartment. They definitely did a good job of portraying the new relationship, both of them excited and attracted to each other. However, I was also struck by it all seeming almost too sweet and feeling like the bond between Will and Frankie is so much more real and meaningful. The team sure seemed to welcome Emma. It helped that she's also a spy, of course. Susan is surprised that Frankie isn't jealous of Emma but Frankie seems to have made peace with it all and states that she even thinks Emma is good for Will. More on that later. I had to chuckle at the non-verbal comedy that seems to be ongoing in the series. In this case, Will and Jai get handed each other's briefs and that's happened a couple of times already. It also happens with ID's and such. I enjoy that. It's quite the intro for Tina. Jai is sure impressed with her as she grabs his knife out of mid air. What a shock to discover a baby in the truck. The kid they got to do that part is adorable and sure seemed good to work with. I loved the instant bond between Will and Baby Will! Jai, on the other hand, looks like a duck out of water and that turns out to be a great ongoing bit. Standish cracks me up when he moons over the baby having Will's eyes. Actually, they're all pretty smitten over the little guy - even willing to risk their careers on an unsanctioned mission. It's hilarious that Ray has them all traveling in an RV! They hit the road to some great music and Will and Frankie take the first shift with the baby, despite wondering if that's weird. Let's face it, even though they're not a romantic couple, Will and Frankie are still seen as the mom and dad of the group and are constantly being put in the role of a couple. That led to my favorite scene in the episode! Will takes a pic of he and Frankie and Baby Will to send to his parents. Frankie doesn't seem the least bit fazed by it all. Will says he'd definitely like to be a dad and Frankie tells him he'd be a great one. I agree! I've listened to many interviews with Scott Foley and being a dad is one of the greatest joys in his life so this was a pretty honest scene for him to play. I was shocked, as was Will, to hear Frankie open up and share that she'd dreamed of having a daughter and teaching her all of the girly girl things! Will tells her she'd be an "interesting" mom! While Frankie figures it's not likely to happen for either of them, Will's not closing that door. I loved the honesty and intimacy of the whole scene.

They find a cozy place in a forest for the RV and we get to see more of the team members with Baby Will. Standish is a natural and I wonder what's in his backstory that makes him so knowledgable and comfortable with a baby. Jai, however, is the complete opposite! He admits that he's scared of babies and sees them as a pile of germs. No shift with the baby for him! Susan takes a turn with the baby and we find out she was a nanny in college so she's good with kids. All throughout the episode I really loved how Standish would talk to Baby Will. He could definitely be a dad! Meanwhile, back at the Dead Drop, Ray and Emma are drinking and getting to know each other. It's red flags for Will when he finds out as shades of Ray and Gigi flood his mind. He really snapped at Frankie when she tried to reassure him that it was nothing to worry about. You could tell she was genuinely hurt and she asks Susan if she can torture Will a bit in return. I like the friendship that Frankie and Susan have forged. They're both straight shooters and can talk easily about everything it seems - at least until Ray and Susan hook up. The campfire scene was so fun! I got such a wonderful family vibe from the kidding. Frankie teases Will with a shipper name for Ray and Emma (Remma) and then Standish digs at Will about being old as they toast his birthday with stale beer. But Will does apologize to Frankie for his angry remark and she seemingly forgives him offering a quiet, "Happy Birthday, dork." But she's not done with the torture and leads the group in singing Happy Birthday, to which Will replies that he despises them all! Every one of them came into this team as a loner of some sort and now, they've forged a real sense of family. There are lots of bumps in the road and growing pains still to come, but you can tell from this scene that the foundation has been laid.
