*****POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT******** nathanfan1, I love reading your reviews!! I don't have enough patience to do that, but here's my quick rundown....starting from the beginning. What I love the most about this show is the comedy...the snarky, clever repartee. I do like some of the techno aspects but sometimes the rock ' em/sock 'em physicalness gets to be a bit much for my tastes....not that I would ever let that keep me from watching this show as long as they keep me laughing!!!! I love the show's opening graphics and the theme song....and ep. 1 when Will gets shot and they start the theme music/graphics I thought was very cleverly done. My favorite ep is Mrs. and Mr. Trowbridge so far. Ep. 10 - that was a pretty somber ep. However, I had already been spoiled....at the time I was watching via ABC site, so was locked out of ep. 10 but I was clicking through their "latest clips" and clicked one for ep 10 - where they showed Emma being shot and the gun....in retrospect I should have known not to click on an episode I hadn't watched ... duh! I LOVED Susan and Ray's protestations when talking to Frankie....especially Susan! And the very badass look on her face when she shot Griffin (I think that was his name). Ep. 11 - I hate to say it but I thought this episode was a bit weak, especially in the beginning, though it got better as things went along. And it was odd that there was no reference to Emma, so perhaps this ep was shown out of order? I loved the scene where Will, Frankie, Susan and Jai were jammed together sitting on the couch! Standish makes me cringe sometimes...and it seemed like he had gotten better in ep. 10, back-tracked in ep 11, so, again, perhaps ep was shown out of order. Also Frankie and Will seemed to backtrack with how they responded to each other. I LOVED it when Standish called them mom and dad! I'm now starting to re-watch episodes. Keeping fingers crossed that they get renewed because I think the show has a lot of potential.

Great to hear your thoughts, Fjordmom! I look forward to more exchanges. First, let me respond to some of your comments. I totally agree about the comedy being a huge draw. It 's that clever stuff that I find so much more entertaining than the typical sit-com junk. I wasn't sure in the beginning if I'd be able to take all of the action stuff because that's typically not my cup of tea either, but I have to say that I haven't minded it and I think it's largely because they weave the humor into the fights and chases as well. My favorite ep is the one in Spain when they're after the nuclear core. I adored seeing Will and Frankie get to just hang out like normal people and they seemed so in tune with each other that whole mission. Their wine and massage session was delightful, as was the awkwardness afterwards when Emma showed up. I also loved the way Frankie knew exactly what Will needed in order to reach closure by capturing his Marine buddy and she was totally willing to make it happen. I enjoyed the takedown and the way she was concerned about his shoulder after punching the guy. The final toast scene back at the bar was also great as Will and Frankie again shared a bit of a moment reflecting on how good their wine had been in Spain. I admired the way the writers let Will and Frankie get closer but they still maintained the proper respect for Will being in a relationship with Emma. After the heaviness of ep 10 with Emma's murder, I wasn't surprised that they came back with a funny one this week. I laughed the whole way through! Seeing the way each of them took on their college identities was so funny. Of course, Will and Frankie would be lecturing on sexual issues!!! Personally, I think Standish is a hoot. I love his expressive reactions and he's such an honest guy. Watching him try to become a better agent with mom and dad's help is quite entertaining! I thought Jai was also hysterical in this one as he and Susan fixated on the soap opera drama that was going on in the lab. I also loved the 4 of them crammed on a couch! That's the kind of funny, non-verbal humor I love. I also agree that Will and Frankie sure seemed to be butting heads over their approaches to training Standish. Their totally different approaches is what drives a lot of the comedy but this ep it seemed to be really emphasized. The other thing that I felt was played up quite a bit was Will's age. Some of that he might have brought on himself by claiming that he could pass as a grad student with his baby face but Frankie also called him grandpa at the end of last episode so it feels like they're making it an issue. I did hear Scott Foley mention in an interview that some of the episodes have been shown out of order so that may explain things. I just hate to think that there are only 2 more left! There are still so many things I want to see! I know things don't look real good for a renewal but I pray daily for a miracle!

Right there with you both. I hate the thought of this show being dumped. I also enjoy The Rookie better than when it first came out. We feel both shows deserve a 2nd season but, hey, our demographic is pretty much ignored as it probably will be this time too.

Well, that just ruined my Mother's Day. I soooo wanted more of these characters and this show! I guess I switch my prayers to hoping another outlet picks it up. It's the best show since Castle IMO and y'all know that's high praise coming from me!

It's the best show since Castle IMO and y'all know that's high praise coming from me! High praise indeed! I'm hoping that perhaps there is a perhaps a worldwide audience out there that will entice someone to pick this show up. In the meantime, I'm going to binge tonight (on the show, that is....although maybe some wine??....nope, I'll just savor what we've been given and keep my hopes up)!!!

This just breaks my heart! It's obvious that it was a crushing blow. I know from interviews that Scott Foley and his wife were thrilled to be living in Prague with their 3 kids and I'm sure they were hoping to stay another year. Cuss you ABC!!!!

Maybe netflicks or one of the streaming services will pick it up?

That makes a difference if ABC doesn’t produce the show. I would have thought the production costs were low as they filmed it in Europe. The delayed viewing numbers were good. The Rookie gets very good delayed numbers. That is how many people watch now. I hope someone picks up this show for netflicks, Hulu, or Amazon.
