Fjordmom, check out these goats! And I just love this Great Pyrnees. Their job is the guard and since there are no predators around this dog is very intent on his nap.

What fun watching that.....I was briefly (VERY BRIEFLY) considering getting a nice fluffly BIG dog so my guys would have a lounge lizard to hop on!!!!! But I'm a cat person only  . I thought about something like a beanbag but I know they would have that chewed up to bits in no time! I have "reservation deposits" on two more Nigerian Dwarf wethers which should be ready to go in mid to late June. I can't wait to have 5 of them wandering the field!!!!!!   |

I was just amazed to see them playing on the slide and the swing...and loved it when the mother came over and shooed the cub away from the swing........can you imagine witnessing that in your back yard???!!!!!!!! |

INTRODUCING....this year's kids......  Asti (Turkish/Kurdish name meaning peace, tranquility) I wanted a special name for him because when I first went to the breeder's to see him, he stood absolutely still in the midst of about 10 other kids in the stall and just looked at me all the while I was there. It's hard to describe, but just seemed very special to me. He is very sweet. This pic was taken in March--his coat is shorter now in the warmer weather.  Siyah (Turkish for black) He just turned 2 months old the middle of June, so he is definitely the little guy in the goat crowd. I spent HOURS online looking at baby names and their meanings, it's amazing what you can find. My naming "rule" is one or two syllables max, something that I feel comfortable saying. Oreo did come to mind but I wanted something a bit more "exotic" for these two. |
