It's International Cat Day! (Who decides these things?)
I somehow stumbled upon these youtube videos of a cat named Maru who LOVES boxes. My daughter couldn't stop laughing when Maru tries to get into the Slim Box at about 2:09 in the video.
I thought I should share...

Wahahahahahahaa!~ That's EXACTLY what happens when you try to get the furry little buggers into their carrier to take them to the vet! I have learned to hold them by the scruff of the neck and put them in feet first, with the carrier standing on end while sitting on the floor. They don't see it coming. BUT, of course, you have to QUIETLY get the carrier out of its storage spot and put it in a strategic location without it making a sound. Cuz the cats will hear the least little rattle from two blocks away. Thanks for the joy!

I've tried a lot of things, but never a net.....I like the idea of sitting the cat carrier on end....I always do the scruff of the neck for anything like meds, etc., but they are psychic aren't they? ?!!!! Love 'em to pieces, though. I have my big fluffy loverboy (no, not my husband, ha ha ) sitting on the chair next to me while I work....actually he's tapping me on the back while I'm typing right now....Ok, got to give him some attention.

When he got the towel in the carrier without the cat I actually laughed out loud. Been there. Done that. Thanks Fjordmom. None of my cats have ever liked getting in the carrier but my cat Bella was the worst. My wonderful, loving kitty would suddenly become all hisses and claws. Even castlekat's trick was a huge battle and I got more than one scratch getting the job done. She was my first kitty. A calico. Fun and feisty. She was 17 years old when she passed away a few years ago. We still miss her.
