Fjordmom, Long ago, I used to run an animal shelter and when we’d get in injured or orphaned wildlife we’d take them to Woodlands Wildlife Refuge. Later on I was on the board at Woodlands. I haven’t been involved since I had my daughter but they do an amazing job rehabilitating and releasing animals back into the wild. Sunday, they are having a special Community Day and since my daughter’s never been there, we’re going so she can check them out. She can’t wait to see the baby chipmunks!

I saw so many chipmunks and small squirrels this summer everyday. I would see 10-15 play chicken crossing the road out of the caldera. I will try and add a picture of one little guy from my phone. Darn it won't let me do it. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my SM-N910V using proboards |

Happy Halloween! Yes, some might say it's not Halloween until tomorrow but so far I've brought my daughter to a Halloween themed birthday party, the school's Monster Mash dance, and her kindergarten Halloween parade and class party. Tomorrow is her Halloween themed dance class and of course trick-or-treating. The day isn't even quite here yet and I'm already a little Halloween-ed out but in the spirit of the holiday...I will share our jack-o-lantern.  I'm proud to say that I used a real knife and still have all my digits. Trust me, that's an accomplishment.  |

The song, Happy Together, by the Turtles was one of favorites back in the day....I've been spending a lot of time listening to and watching The Piano Guys online this week....I absolutely love them. This video is their cover of Happy Together featuring the cellist, Steven Sharp Nelson, who is almost ALWAYS smiling when he plays and just seems to be having a blast, with a few cameos of Jon Schmidt, their pianist. It is just a happy song, a happy video. Hope you enjoy!
