What the holy he double hockey sticks! I'm not at all happy. I hated that ending. Seriously, how many times are they going to rip them apart? How are the next episodes supposed to be light when she just walked out on him? I'm a huge Beckert fan, but that was not anything I thought was on the radar. The episode was action packed, up until the end I really liked it. It explained why she had to keep him away, but this...... This? I'm speechless!
Someone please pull me out of this rotten mood!

I really liked it, right up to the final minute. I am so mad!!!!! What the heck are they thinking? How is this honoring the fans' desire to see them together? Right now I feel like everything Hawley and Winters said over the summer was a total lie. I truly enjoyed the episode. I was satisfied with the explanation about why Kate kept quiet about the phone call and what followed. I liked the theory-building scenes where they were going back and forth between them, and that they came to the same conclusion about the plane. I liked how they worked together in the end. But now I just can't get past that last minute. Seriously, what are they thinking? ?

Deep breaths everyone! They're working together in next week's episode. I've seen clips in the newest promo for the show and they're still together. Let's just take deep breaths!

Next week better fix this!

Character regression at its finest IMO.
"One and done" snapped into and now "all I could think about was you". Just wow.
Sorry, but that's how I feel.

Read the official synopsis for next week. It includes the sentence, "But as he (Castle) and Beckett dig deeper." Does that sound like they're still apart? No, it does not. Deep breaths.

Next week better fix this! The promo also has Castle saying he wants his wife back. And it appears that he is working the case on his own, as a way of trying to reunite with her. I don't know that they will actually be working the case together. But we also know that those promos can be cut to be misleading. Whatever this plan is, it better be very short-lived.

I haven't been around much lately, but I'm still creeping here as much as I can. Life has been busy, and I certainly don't have the time to be posting right now. However, I need an outlet for everything that's running through my head right now, as well as for my thoughts on everything I'm reading. I hope I can chime more often in the weeks to come.
Yes, that end was heart-wrenching and brought up a lot of issues we thought Kate had long-since dealt with. But the silver lining of the pain of this separation is getting to see them come together again, of seeing Castle get his wife back and watching them have another first kiss and first time together. It's allowing them to fall in love all over again.
That said, I am currently alternating between thinking Kate's obsessive personality is a dead horse they insist on beating, and acknowledging that perhaps there's some truth in the writers' not-so-subtle assertion that this kind of crusading is woven into her DNA. However, I'm not sure what she hopes walking away from Castle will help her realize. Is she trying to see if she can live without him, if her desire for justice exceeds even her love of her husband? Or is he trying to prove that the crusade is, in fact, not worth it. Does she want to remind herself of how lonely her world is without Rick and therefore solidify her decision to forgo being the lone wolf on the hunt?
Either way, I'm borrowing from Castle himself and committing to being here for the story, wherever it takes me, because ultimately, I have 100 percent faith that their love will persevere. Maybe it's unfair to ask Rick to chase her again, and maybe it discredits Kate's character to show her regress this way, and maybe it's still way too soon after the wedding for anything to cause even a temporary rift --- BUT their love is open, deep, and enduring, and I trust that we will see that love bring them back together in a way that will do them justice. So, folly or not, burned before or not, I will give it a chance and embrace the heartache now, trusting the ends will justify these, oh so, heartbreaking means.

That tells me they may work a case together but not that Kate has come home...and getting past the fact that she left in the first place is going to be hard. Honestly, I've always loved Beckett but this left me very angry with her character. "Partners in crime and in life" didn't even last a year before she moved out.

That's it, I'm angry! I'm angry that after all the character growth Beckett has gone through she would regress so badly. I get that she thinks she is protecting him and his family, but Castle is still married to her. He will still be a target, leaving won't protect him. Alexis is going to hate her for this. I think she'll add to the angst. This episode was everything I like in episodes, all but that last scene. I hope how they come back together is believable, and this will not happen again.
Christine, this will be a tough one to review!
