1Lincoln40- Yes, I believe all of the regular Muppets, including An-i-mal, Swedish Chef and Beaker are in the new series. You may be able to find the promos online. And I too am awaiting the two-hour finale movie for CSI. I’ve stuck with the show for 15 seasons! I’m actually reviewing the finale for TV Fanatic. I believe it airs here in the states on Sunday, Sept. 27th. Yes, that’s the Doc Martin we’re talking about. There’s also talk of an American version in the works.

I am looking forward to the new season of Castle, the final season of Continuum as well as the new seasons of Scandal, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and of course Agent Carter. All of which I can once again watch live now that I have moved to day shift at work. (yayyyy!)
My summer shows of choice were Defiance (I'm hoping it gets renewed for next year) and the new SyFy show Killjoys.

PTVJ - Can I just say that you made my day when you said that you would be reviewing the finale to CSI? "PTVJ you made my day when you said that you would be reviewing the finale to CSI" Can't wait to read what you have to say. I have just read on Monday over at imdb that the UK will be doing a CSI night with favourite episodes chosen by fans before that finale although there is no date given as yet. When I get the chance, I will check out the promos for the Muppets, thanks.
Shutterbug - Continuum was way too complicated for my brain cell. Time travel and alternate time lines tend to do that to me, so I don't know how I will cope with the Flash which I believe may be entering into that with Jay Garratt? I have yet to see the finale of Defiance but hope they renew. If it does return, do you think Nolan will be back? I would love a time jump where Nolan has been gone years. Defiance is a peaceful town. Irisa is with Alek and they have a son who is the age that Irisa was when Nolan found her. Amanda has a husband but Nolan's return causes her some issues with regards her feelings for him.

Fjordmom I'm looking forward to NCIS as well. I've watched it from the beginning and it sounds as though they're going to shake things up a bit this season. My husband loves Longmire although I don't think he's had the chance to watch the new season on Netflix yet. And it's so funny you should mention Doc Martin. It's one of my father's favorites. I had to laugh because you jogged my tired brain into action and I realized that Longmire S4 had indeed started!!!!!! And then came the realization that it was via Netflix so I have the opportunity to binge watch the entire season....oy!!!! I'm about 3/4 of the way through. I love Doc Martin...he takes the word curmudgeon to ultimate heights, but really the show can be so poignant, as well as funny, and I never tire of watching Martin and Louisa because they say sooooo much with their eyes....and she has beautiful eyes! It's a great ensemble cast, too, so there's always more than just Martin and Louisa as far as storyline. This season will hopefully take both Martin and Louisa to a better place psychologically, as Martin has the emotional damage of his childhood to work through. I know there is talk of a US version but I probably would not watch...the allure of the British show for me is not only the actors but the scenery, the "language" of a different country and how people interact.

**SNIP**
Fjordmom - love Murdoch. A gentle, 'park your brain at the door' and enjoy kind of show. I wonder when it ends if Julia actually finds herself pregnant and they have the son that Murdoch has often imagined.
PTVJ & Fjordmom - Would Doc Martin be that British series with Martin Clunes? If so, I think at some point in the new season Sigourney Weaver shows up!
B.x I laughed when I reach your very true description of Murdoch!!!! I occasionally take a break from it since it is a little tame, but still it draws me back...it's a gentler show ... Actually, one of the things I really love are the episode background videos that they put up on the CBC website...I can't watch the actual episodes there because I'm in the States, but can watch the background videos...anyway, they often travel to different sites (in Ontario mainly) for location shoots, so it's interesting for me to watch as my husband was born and lived in Ontario until his early 20s. The videos give me the opportunity to discover some parts of Ontario I haven't had a chance to visit yet...it's a BIG province . And, yes, the British Doc Martin....that will be fun to see what Sigourney Weaver's character is in the show. I'm ever hopeful that Martin and Louisa will come to a better place--together!!!!!, especially since it sounds like this season will be the last.

Just wanted to add two more shows to my list. Lost Girl final season and The Returned - yess!! The latter is the original French version of the US remake Resurrection and I much preferred the French version. I found it far more atmospheric and creepy.
Also have any of your returning shows been as disappointing as Castle. How about any new shows that you have watched? Has it been interesting enough to keep you watching or not worth your time?

We are Once Upon A Time fans....so far it's been intriguing. We knew to expect some differences in the show given the way last season ended, and so far I am enjoying it.
A Grimm fan as well, and I was also shocked by that season finale. Will be interesting to see where they go with Nick this year.
SHIELD has been a wild ride so far. Also looking forward to the return of Agent Carter; I think it's going to be the winter break replacement for SHIELD again this year?

Fjordmom did you guys have the Christmas edition of Murdoch? Cheesy but enough fun to have me watch. I look forward to the next season (9?).
Also if anyone enjoys the novels of Charles Dickens, the BBC has done a series using characters from several of his novels for an intriguing series. Alas because I don't know enough of the characters and which books they are from it is annoying, so I am not following it. The little I have seen of it though is very clever.

B.x I'm glad you posted this... I wasn't aware of that ep and was waiting until they resumed from break, the site I watch the shows on had put it at the beginning of this season's lineup, instead of after the most recently aired ep, so I missed it. I did find it last night and really enjoyed it...a little slow at the beginning, but I really thought they did a nice job with it, I giggled a number of times, jumped with every scary moment, and loved the ending (yes, of course I was teary-eyed ). Have you ever watched the web series, The Murdoch Effect I think it was called. I absolutely loved it! It was just such a hoot to see them all as more contemporary "hardened" characters and then Murdoch still being from the past and trying to adjust. ****WARNING: Possible spoiler if you are waiting for Season 9 to air: I do hope GEorge either gets back together with Edna or finds someone new, I have a very soft spot for him in my heart.*****

Hi Fjordmom
I adore George! And what I took from the episode is that Christmas is very much a family time for him. His disappointment at not being with his aunts leaving him at a loss of what to do. And yes, I really hope that he reunites with Edna and her son in the new season. I also couldn't help but think that Julia's 'gift wrap' to William is exactly what Kate would do for Rick, but of course that's just wishful thinking on the part of this fan.
And no, I missed the web series. Wasn't it something like 13 episodes or am I thinking of something else?
I also adored Yannick in Sue Thomas.

B.x Hah! I immediately thought of Kate, too!!!!! I'll have to check out Sue Thomas, thank you. The Murdoch Effect was six episodes, I think each was less than 5 minutes. Here's the trailer: And I was just able to actually view it on the CBC website (usually I can't view any of the regular TV series episodes on the CBC site because I'm not in Canada, but for some reason I've always been able to view The Murdoch Effect and thier videos about how they make an episode....go figure). Fjordmom does your spoiler mean that you have already started S9 of Murdoch? The UK begins January 25th and all I can say is, poor George! Also 'hello William Shatner!!" I wonder what character he will be playing.
Thanks for the link to the web series.

B.x Yes, ep 10 of S9 aired on 1/11 in Canada and I'm able to stream it from alternate site thankfully pretty soon after it has aired. My lips are sealed re: Shatner

Fjordmom, please know that I LOVE spoilers! Unless there is a twist that destroys the reason to watch. Like I worked out what the twist was in Sixth Sense from the trailer so I've never watched the movie. I also worked out Shutter Island from the trailer but I did watch the movie.
