In the Dark is good. I just discovered it on Netflix. We watched 1 Walker, won't be watching any more.

I thought it was just me but I watched the pilot of Walker and thought the same. I had hopes for that, oh well.

I think CBS needs to have another series since Hawaii 5-0 was canceled to keep their Hawaiian studio from losing money? I wonder who will head up that new NCIS? It must be hard for the 4 old networks to compete against the streaming networks. They, have to be limited by what they can show where in paid services anything goes. I find myself watching less and less TV of any kind as things progress.

NCIS still does well for CBS, and they currently have Magnum PI filming in Hawaii and had Hawaii Five-0 there for years so I'm sure they have the studio and people ready to go. NBC does well with all of the Chicago shows, as well as This Is Us and New Amsterdam. ABC has Grey's Anatomy and The Bachelorette always does well. But you are right, with so much competition out there, network TV will never be what it once was and the networks know it so they have to adjust their budgets and expectations accordingly.

We saw in USA Today that they are on the fence about renewing The Rookie. That would be too bad as it has gotten much better.

We saw in USA Today that they are on the fence about renewing The Rookie. That would be too bad as it has gotten much better. Our local newspaper is pert of the USA Today family. Last week the annual "Save Our Shows" article was in the paper with a link to the voting. The Rookie is the only show I voted to save. It's apparently on the bubble. I hope others here can access the survey and vote to save The Rookie.

I think The Rookie lost viewers this year when they had episodes that were dealing with a bad white cop. It was very well written and acted but some viewers only want to escape the real world not see it on their TV. This show has tried from the start, to try and show a more realistic view of modern police rather than the usual view we see on TV. We will see if they get support to continue next season.
