I can't believe it's already November! This year has flown by.
I also can't believe I woke up to ice on my windshield. I know some of you have already been feeling much colder temperatures but I am not a fan of winter. Hence, why I'd like to move South permanently!
So how's your week going so far?

LOL, sorry PTVJ. We've already set a November record for snowfall and are supposed to get a couple more inches tonight. Good grief, it's only the 5th. It's going to be a l o n g winter

I was listening to someone saying they had to make sure their computer was backed up because mercury retrograde had begun and it can mess with electronic devices. In my head (not out loud) I made a sarcastic comment about how silly that sounded. Less than an hour later my cell phone died. I think the Universe is mocking me.

Keeping our fingers crossed

What IS mercury retrograde? That's a new one for this electronic illiterate.

It's actually an astrology thing. Something about the planet mercury appearing to turn in a different direction. I don't quite understand it but I've heard people talk about it and they seem to think that it can have adverse effects on technology and electronic devices. I'm not promoting or dismissing the theory, I'm just recognizing the irony of me being sarcastic about it just before my phone died.

For sure I am going to keep this concept as an excuse in case this going wrong. Evasion is always a way to attempt to avoid responsibility!

I had a fun week going until today. Monday, the kids didn't have school so 2 of my grandsons hung out with me all day. We had a great time, including our tradition of watching The Polar Express and drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows. Those little guys are definitely thinking Christmas with all of the toy ads out there! Tuesday I had 4 friends over and we did show and tell with our latest quilting projects. Then it was snacks and several games of MahJongg until darn near supper time. Good for the soul. All the fun came to a screeching halt this morning when I had to have a molar extracted. I'm doing OK but will lay low for a day or two. I liked the fun days better!

Tooth extractions are never fun. I can add to the "not fun but interesting" news this week. A deli worker at the local grocery store was recently diagnosed with Hepatitis A! I rarely get anything from that deli but I was craving salami and bought a quarter of a pound just before Halloween. Luckily, neither Todd nor Kate had any of it. My last Hepatitis vaccine was over ten years ago, so I got that vaccine and my flu shot this morning at Walgreens. There were two people in line behind me who were getting their Hepatitis vaccines for the same reason. Walgreens said they ran out of the vaccine yesterday and got a hundred more doses of it in this morning. They're hoping that will be enough.

Good Luck, PTVJ. Better to be safe than sorry
Hope you feel better soon, Bobbie. Glad you were able to sneak some fun in First!!!!
We are having a nice , easy week for us. Monday night, our daughter stopped and had supper with us. She goes to a swimming exercise class at the Y on our side of town on Mondays so stops in by us. Tuesday, Rikki went to knitting group. Yesterday, I had a couple appts. in the afternoon and Rikki went to a class downtown in the morning. We did get a few inches of snow so roads were a little slick when we left home about 8AM. Today is an R and R day at home. Tomorrow, we are going to see Motherless Brooklyn and out to eat. Saturday, I get to watch college football which I LOVE LOL, It's "tough" being retired, but we are happy to bite the bullet and do it

Going excellent. Just took my daughter out for a birthday lunch. Always great when I get to spend time with her.
