Sorry to hear about your phone. What IS mercury retrograde? That's a new one for this electronic illiterate.
It's actually an astrology thing. Something about the planet mercury appearing to turn in a different direction. I don't quite understand it but I've heard people talk about it and they seem to think that it can have adverse effects on technology and electronic devices. I'm not promoting or dismissing the theory, I'm just recognizing the irony of me being sarcastic about it just before my phone died. Ah, Mercury in retrograde....that put my wayback machine in drive....back to the late '60s when I was an ardent listener of the Boston rock station WBCN, especially Charles Laquidara (DJ of The Big Mattress show). The show featured astrologist Darrell Martinie (The Cosmic Muffin). I found this blog entry by author Mary Rowen from 2015...she explains the Mercury in retrograde much better than I can!!!! And as far as how my week is going....STILL putting things away in preparation for winter! They are forecasting snow for next week, so looks like this weekend is it!!!!! |

As long as Iowa Hawkeyes win, everything is great! How could you , Larry??? LOL, I thought a lot better of you than that  I like Iowa and Hayden Fry but NOT when they play my Badgers  |

Whenever the Badgers beat the Hawkeyes in any sport, she sends a Badgers' tee-shirt. Of course, I return the 'favor'. Nevertheless, a Badgers fan is certainly much better than a Cornhuskers fan...in my opinion. |
