Hi everyone!
I'm just wondering if anyone here is watching any of these shows and if so, what do you think of them?
Carter - started May 15th, has 10 episodes. Stars Jerry O'Connell as a tv detective who returns to his home town after a meltdown and finds that he is able to help solve some real life crimes with two childhood friends.
Harrow - started March 9th, has 10 episodes. Stars Ioan Gruffudd as a forensic pathologist. Hope he has better luck with this series than he did with Forever.
Humans - started June 28th 2015. This is in it's 3rd season in the UK and I LOVE IT!! Shows humanity at its worse but for me, is sci-fi at its best.
I will be watching the first two shows when they begin in a couple of weeks on the UK network Alibi, the home of crime drama.

I will have to check out the first 2 you mentioned. Loan's last show had him playing a very dark character. I didn't care for that one but he did get lots of notice for that role.

I don't think Carter and Harrow air in the U.S. I couldn't find them anyway.

Thanks for the info, 1Lincoln40. I am definitely interested in checking out Ioan Gruffudd!!!! It seems like in the US we can watch this via ABC iview (https://iview.abc.net.au/collection/harrow) -- at least it seemed like it was going to work for me when I briefly tried to view an episode....so I know what I'll be doing tonight. And it looks like there is a second season planned?

See if this link works here in the US for Harrow iview.abc.net.au/show/harrow/series/1/video/DR1609Q001S00Episode 2 Ex Animo This worked on my computer. It looks to have a continuing story that will play out thru the season. It has a warning that it is for mature audiences over 15. It looks and sounds like it is from Australia? They are driving on the right side of the car so its either the UK or Australia. I haven't looked to see if I can get this on my RUKU but I should be able to see it on the TV thru that hopefully.

Thanks for the replies although I was hoping that someone might be able to spoil me. Oh well I will just need to be patient as I think the shows begin next week.
Tycho - I am assuming that you are referring to Liar in which Ioan played a surgeon? who is accused of rape. And the way in which the series was constructed you didn't know who to believe until the end. I believe that filming has started on the 2nd season. I think that it was when Ioan was interviewed for Liar that he talked briefly about his disappointment that Forever had been cancelled. So I guess that it wasn't just viewers that wanted the show to continue.
ibmjas - sorry, I didn't think to check on the countries that the shows are from. Carter is Canadian so I would assume available in the US? As for Harrow, it is indeed from Australia so I'm not certain whether that series would be available in the US.
As for Carter I am looking forward to seeing Rebecca Romijn as I have never seen Jerry and his wife together in a project. Will she be a love interest or a villain? And Rebecca does villain brilliantly!

Interestingly, I am able to watch it on my MAC (or at least it seems like I will be, I've only watched the first couple minutes); but when I tried to watch it on my iPad last night the first thing their website does is tell me to download their iView app ... which I can't do because I'm not in Australia....RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Anyway, not fond of watching shows sitting at my computer desk , so may have to wait on this one. And yes, it is ABC Australia.

I haven't seen Deception but having seen the 1st episode of Carter, for me this is definitely a Castle clone. Very light hearted in the vein of Diagnosis Murder. Fun, not stupid or silly. Doesn't grab me the way that Castle did, but I will probably continue to watch. I like the 3 friends and the female cop definitely has the Beckett vibe going but without the baggage. At least none seen so far. A serious scene happened at the very end of the episode where you see one wall of newspaper clippings that reports on the disappearance of Carter's mother 35 years earlier as well as other people that have gone missing from their homes. The work of a serial killer..?

Is anyone watching C. B. Strike on Cinemax? We've only seen 2 episodes but we're kind of into it.

They are one of my favorite series, J.K. Rowling (aka Robert Galbraith) is dragging her feet on writing the fourth installment. I think it's been over two years since book 3 and it's driving me crazy!

I loved C.B Strike. Very dark for the BBC in the UK I thought but they seem to be showing more of those types of detective series now. What I would say were for 'grown ups' or adult viewing. Love Tom Burke in the role and I believe that the actor will do as many of the stories as they are written. I think that I also read that J K was very pleased with his casting.

B Yes, the books are dark, but the characters and stories were so good that I couldn't put them down. I'm hoping I can find a way to watch this series soon.
