The poker game! When they knew the pilot was picked up they had some pull to get real people for the poker game. James Patterson had history with ABC with the Women’s Murder Club. Stephen Cannell was a very old friend of Rob Bowman’s. Rob just picked up the phone and called him.
---I LOVE this scene! -- NF says he loved that this wasn’t their profession but they walked in and they could act. NF says he had a ball filming with them.

I LOVED how Andrew described what Castle did as the "Lucy and the football" move when Castle gives her his signed book and then steals the evidence photos.  |

Andrew calls this the Lucy and the Football scene. Castle seems sweet enough that she lets her guard down for a minute. Is there an angle? May there’s no angle. Wait. Dammit!

When we had our Castle meet here at our house, we watched this on our big-screen theater screen, and paused at this point; we could actually read what he wrote there. I must admit though that I can't remember it now. Might have it written down somewhere....I'll have to look around.

Rob says that getting that smile on Castle’s face when the doors burst open in the library was an insight into his character. He wants to get caught. He’s happy she’s going to chew him out because he made her chase him. He knows that watching her squirm and get mad is going to be fun.
