I just watched Nathan's panel from yesterday at the Seattle Comic Con and he confirmed that Jewel Staite was going to be on Castle. He didn't reveal anything else but she was staying at his house about 2 weeks ago so it must be either episode 20 or 21. It's definitely not the finale.

Then he tweeted a picture of baby spit up on his sweatshirt. He tweeted pictures for a couple of days back in March.
