Christine, again your review was pretty spot on. Regarding the scene with the Castle women, maybe due to time constraints they did shoot a scene talking about the separation, but it ended up on the cutting room floor. Maybe instead of talking about Lucy, they should have talked about the separation. I agree it felt more like the old Castle, and this season should've focused more on the old cast vs. bringing in others that really don't add to the show. Hopefully they're now on the right track, and we get the old feeling back!

Nice review. It was nice to see an episode that felt like Castle we fell in love with back. I didn't even mind Lucy/Linus. It will be easy to get rid of an electronic distraction rather than a person. I was hoping for a nice Beckett bubble bath with a dining Lucy sharing the water and getting fried. I was glad they finally have Jon a script that showed of some of his talent. It was fun to follow his tweets with the west coast viewing tonight. Barry O'Brien did a great job. This was only his 2nd episodes script and yet he captured the Castle we love.

The only tiny thing that bothered me about the episode was how Kate dealt with Lucy.
Instead of talking this over with Rick and the two of them dealing with it together, Kate once again takes arbitrary action on her own and basically rubs Castle's nose in it.
Other than that I thought the episode was a good romp for Esposito and by extension Ryan showing their partnership on full display.

I loved this episode! Not too much Caskett, but it was enough and the rest of the episode was great. Can we please have a season 9 like this?

Good episode, but I still would like more interaction and conversation between Rick and Kate.

Good episode, but I still would like more interaction and conversation between Rick and Kate. I agree. These writers seem to be averse to writing real conversations between our favorite couple and are happier filling the time with silliness like Lucy/Linus. The actors are so good at what they do that it really is a waste of their talents.
