Castle: GH's Maurice Benard, Jonathan Silverman Cast in Non-Murder Mystery
General Hospital vet Maurice Benard will guest-star with Jonathan Silverman (The Single Guy) in an upcoming, murder-less (?) episode of ABC’s Castle.
TVLine has learned that in the 19th episode of Season 8, Silverman plays Alan Masters, the miraculous survivor of an attempted murder who subsequently helps Castle and Beckett solve the case.
Daytime Emmy winner Benard guest-stars in the same episode, as revealed by a photo he shared via Instagram, though details on his role are thus far unknown. Unless ABC’s Monday-night drama did not cast him against type, Imma gonna spitball that he who plays soapdom’s Sonny Corinthos had a role in Silverman’s on-screen scare.
In other Castle casting news, as previously reported in Ask Ausiello, True Blood alum Courtney Ford will make a cameo appearance in this Monday’s L.A.-based episode, playing an actress named Courtney.
