Having taught adult ESL classes in the past, I was looking forward to this episode. Rick's accent was OK, but much more believable when he spoke French. As far as Alexis is concerned, I would like to see her interning with Lanie again or going to law school. Two things I really enjoyed were when Perlmutter was trying to set Kate up with his twin and when the students kept blocking the way for the FEDs. Right now the most despised character is Vikram. We know he's up to no good, and the sooner he's outed, the better. I caught the Miami Vice reference but never watched that show. Some of our favorite 80s shows were Hill Street Blues, Wiseguy, Dallas, Falcon Crest and Lou Grant.

I watched Hill Street Blues but only in reruns. I was a huge Dallas fan from the time I was a little kid and I loved Susan Sullivan on Falcon Crest. I don't think I ever watched Lou Grant. One of the few I missed.

Christine, Lou Grant was a spin-off from the old Mary Tyler Moore show, the difference being it was an hour drama and not a comedy. In fact, it was while watching Lou Grant that I first heard the news that John Lennon had been shot! Howard Cosell also made the announcement on MNF. On a lighter note, I have a 45 of the theme from Hill Street Blues, lol.
