This one will be easy for Nathanfan. She actually stood here where they filmed this episode. Maybe give others a chance for a day before giving the answer to this one. www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=227e3a524246season, episode and title or a good description of what happened.

So many wonderful memories, Tycho! We actually stood there twice! I'm trying to remember how many times that location's been used for Castle. It has to be at least 4 or 5 times. It's a beautiful park right in the middle of downtown LA.
I'll let others guess this one.

Here is a hint, this one had a well endowed weather girl that kept Castle's attention for the evening weather report along with most of the guys on the team. She was found in this fountain. Anyone else notice that instead of getting a scene like this at the beginning of episodes with the dead body, this year we are seeing the actual murder with the blood and gore we missed before?

I've most definitely noticed the more violent openings, Tycho. I could certainly live without them. I suspect that's a change the new show runners implemented when they took over and AGAIN, I'm not so sure they really understand the loyal Castle fans and what they want in a TV show.

This last episode was an example of totally wasteful time with the bloody start of the murder with the snakes that were not even part of the murder plot. What a waste of precious minutes for the story to be told. Yes, you can tell Andrew is gone from the writers room. Go ahead and name the episode Nathanfan as I don't think anyone has figured this one out.

Season 5, episode 2, Cloudy With A Chance Of Murder. This opened as Kate's first day back after her suspension and she and Castle having spent the time BONDING! Oh, where my imagination goes with that! They were focused on not letting anyone know they were together and Castle didn't get Kate her usual coffee, which Espo noticed right away. Then Lanie knew Kate had a glow about her too. Such fun!

It can't be easy to have animals on the set. Why bring them on and then not make them a part of the story. It really feels like such a waste. And I also agree that the murders have been more graphic and dark. I felt that way when I watched the season premiere and I absolutely attribute it to the show runners. Alexi Hawley came straight off of the very dark show The Following to come back to Castle. Sometimes it feels like some of the darkness of that show carried over.
