Loved the way they changed the title this time, with a scalpel instead of a pen. So clever!Gotta love the warm fuzzy opening, even if I knew things would go downhill from there. Great gesture from Alexis, so effortlessly including Kate by kissing her goodbye. I don't agree with Arky that they're implying Beckett is pregnant but I do think they feel it's appropriate to have the topic come up at this point. After this grave adventure, I suspect that trying for a pregnancy will be put on hold for a good while. It was also nice to see a happy Martha getting back on stage.
I really liked how well they showed that everyone on the team is highly invested in this. The use of flashbacks was well done IMO. Even though I'm an ardent fan, there were a few of those scenes that I'd forgotten. I thought it was interesting that Lanie called Javi when she realized the connection, even though they've kind of broken up. I think a huge bond was formed when they both endured the sadistic work of Nieman earlier. Ryan was also still deeply affected by the misuse of his gun so the stakes are high for him too.
It was a smooth way to get Castle back into the precinct but I like the fact that Gates wasn't buying it to start with. That felt right but we know that she's seen Castle's value so I'm glad that she saw it Kate's way and went to bat for Castle with the DA. Castle was certainly given the utmost respect, as they even had him brief the whole squad room on the background of their encounters with Tyson.
In retrospect, I'm thinking that creating the original story with Nieman being a skilled plastic surgeon, was a work of genius. That opens up limitless possibilities for people being or not being who we think they are. Michael Mosley did a heck of a good job in that initial interrogation when he repeatedly claimed to be Budreaux. The gal who plays Nieman is equally creepy. Those 2 actors really sell their evilness!
I think my favorite scenes were the 2 times that Castle went one on one with Tyson. Talk about mental warfare! Castle did a great job of hitting all the right buttons, even though Tyson didn't flinch. It's fun to see Nathan play that kind of role now and then.
Great setup at the end, with Kate getting taken and Castle realizing too late that that was the plan all along. I have a hunch that part 2 will be even more intense, especially with that clip of Castle being in tears as he looks at Kate - OR - someone who's been altered to look like Kate!

How did they switch up the DNA from the baby tooth? That had to be the real Tyson. Castle got him to react a couple of times. Just the pictures of the step mom looking like the newest clones should be leading them to an answer.
Kate has already been through so much. I hope it is a clone that they mess with and not Rick's love of his life. And I totally agree they better not give us a list baby over this. But after what they did to us in 623 I wouldn't put it past Andrew.
They sure got the perfect actors to play these creepy characters.
Stana will be on Jimmy Kimmel next Monday. They tape the show before the episode will air in the east. I wonder if they will talk about the consequences from this episode on the future of the characters. They will have to tell the audience to not tweet about the show until it airs. For once the westies might know something before the east coast:o

Mosley and Wershing are the perfect bad guys....you love to hate them...You Really Do!!! Such vindictiveness and cerebral arragance, all tied into this calming, yet damning jealous rage and you have the most cunning, devious and delicious psychopaths that this show has ever seen.
It was the perfect storm...the target was Beckett, the face change was the trigger and the disciple did her job perfectly. This was Jerry at his finest...getting others to do his will, while somehow maintaining plausible deniability and having the doctor to alter the body for the ultimate mind stump. Can you guess who I am Rick?
The game plan was simple. Create a problem, separate Caskett and take the wife. Simplistic Brilliance. The perfect alibi. Both at the police station in plain sight of everyone. The girl calls Beckett and she takes the bait and now is long gone. Score one for the crime guys as we prepare for week two of this epic doubleheader.
We see everyone and how 3XK has effected their lives. We feel Rick's disdain for both and we also get a glimpse of brilliance from Castle. He almost Broke Jerry. He came very close. Jerry knows that Rick is inside his mind now and if he doesn't kill him or worse...BRAKE HIM MENTALLY...it is all over for him.
I love how Jerry went from denial to intense in seconds. And the ultimate slap in the face, in front of everyone, waltzing our of the precinct, holding hands with Kelly Nieman. The proverbial slam dunk, in your face taunt as the elevator doors close and the phone call comes and the wink acknowledges to Rick that they have Beckett.
OK...so much for the plot. What is it that makes Gates despise Castle? She only calls him Mr. Castle, a real condescending, he has the plague attitude if you ask me. She breaks into hives with the mere mention of his name and makes it clear just how unwelcome he is at the 12th. So Kate has to hear this crap not only from Perlmutter, but Gates as well. It nonsense. Would it had hurt Gates to fight the DA for more time? Sometimes she is too much by the book and tonight, it cost her...it cost her big time.
Nice to see Lanie again....she too is tied into this.
It is time for everyone to rally around Rick and freakin listen to what he has to say. He is Kate's only hope at this point. AND GATES NEEDS TO STOP LOCKING HORNS AND LISTEN ....
So is Rick too late? The promo for next week was not too promising. I will say this....Rick is onto Jerry. And Jerry has now woken the sleeping bear. Rick will take over and finish this no matter what the cost. I keep thinking that Neiman wants to deform Kate and take out her ovaries or something....part 2 will have many ramifications, some of which may be devastating. Is it time for Rick to call in a favor? Will they find Kate before Neiman does her damage? Will Lanie find a way to link DNA to Jerry? Will they all function as a team now and get behind Rick? And will Rick be the one to finish what he started and not let Jerry do these horrible things ever again? And will Kate want to remain a cop? Or will she join her husband in business and go to law school?
So many questions....so many answers coming...It's all about the evidence....oh screw that....it's all about making things right. Great show....where is Jordan Shaw when you need her? LOL
Thank goodness for the heart-melting opening scene in which Martha offers Rick, not rent but her debt of gratitude for his support which led to her latest role; Alexis kisses goodbye not only her father but, for the first time, “loveable” Kate; and CASKETT talk about starting a family!!!
I feared that the running victim, robe/cape flaring, resembled BECKETT’S Alex GROSS painting; and I could not immediately rule out the victim as redheaded Alexis!!!
Perfection: Tamala’s/Lanie’s growing trepidation in figuring out the clues, leading to confirmation of the involvement of frightening to the max Michael MOSLEY/TYSON/BEAUDREAU and WERSHING/NIEMAN; Jon’s/ESPO’S empathy; Seamus’/RYAN’S pain; Penny’s/GATES’ leadership and support; Stana’/Kate’s and Nathan’s/Rick’s, 12th Precinct consultant for this case only, determination, expertise, interrogations, and pursuit of their nemesis duo!!! I liked that it is ESPO assuring Kate that by the time she returns to the precinct, her/their CASTLE would be in place at the 12th!!!

With no abatement of tension, we rush to the episode cliffhanger for our devoted, detective duo and for our defective, dangerous serial killer pair!!! Stana/Kate is horrified by “We’ll Meet Again” via her phone, as she is kidnapped; Nathan/Rick is stricken, “Where’s BECKETT?”!!! What a perverted, frustrating, terrifying scene in which clasped-hands killers, calmly smirking, even winking, must be released to depart in CASKETT’S elevator!!!
How will we survive the week until 7x15 RECKONING?!! Please, let the grief-stricken Nathan/Rick have found a dead double/clone of Stana/Kate!!!

Earlier someone said, Tyson woke the sleeping dragon in reference to Castle. Oh yeah. Castle is symbolically the Blue Dragon, so yeah Tyson woke the dragon alright. He's messing with the full grown White Tiger in Beckett too. Or, as someone else said here, messing with the bear. Yeah, how about the polar bear on the wall, Castle is daddy bear, don't mess with his family.
No telling what will happen. I'm ready for anything.

To truly defeat 3XK you have to beat him at his head games, make him know you've out thought him, and then kill him. Can you do both? Could you create an air tight case, especially with Beckett at the center of everything, or, as also suggested, put away (Kill) a potential threat to your future children and your family? I think at this point, it's up for grabs, but we have seen the cold steel run through Rick's veins, so it would not surprise me if he calls in a favor or takes business into his own hands. I do think Gates will have him followed and assist quietly with the help of the entire department. She is so worried about doing the right thing, but she, at this point knows what the right thing is....to stop Tyson and Nieman at all costs. I love KF301's comments about messing with Jerry's mind. And...are we finished with Jerry's foster mom yet? She may be behind some of this.

And if you basically double the trouble with Nieman they become the double triple killer so they could have two times the followers, so to speak. Rick will have to go to a dark place to defeat them, especially cause they've made it more personal by taking Kate. I have a feeling this whole thing will leave a lasting impression on everyone, particularly Rick.Needless to say, can't wait til Monday to find out what happens. This will be one real roller coaster ride of an episode. Hang on, it's going to get creepy.
