I enjoyed the episode it is starting to feel like the old Castle. I would love to see some Kate & Lanie interaction especially since Lanie was going to be Kate's maid of honor you would think they would show a little bff bonding.

I'm really not found of this fake new dates story. Besides being sad having their friends thinking they are really dating other people, I think that this storyline is so unbelievable that two great detectives as Ryan and Esposito wouldn't buy it. So, Castle was completely caught by surprised when Kate left, said he couldn't lose her, did everything and arranged all kinds of excuses to be near her and get her back, and now all of a sudden he cheated and is happily dating a model? It doesn't fit.

Also, Castle and Beckett don't know for how long they will have to keep their fake separation (probably it's still going to take a while to take down Locksat), so they should be keeping a low profile on their separation instead of making up stories that might get them caught. For instance what is Castle going to tell Alexis and Martha? Having them believe he is done with Kate and happy with a russian model? I know it's just a TV show, but Castle didn't use to have this illogic flaws...

Pre S8 Castle didnt have illogical flaws, just as pre S8 Beckett was much more private and refined. We must forget everything we knew about them apparently. Pre S8 couple would have come up with a plan.

I agree it is starting to feel like Castle again and it was great to see Rick and Kate's amazing chemistry again. Keeping my fingers crossed that it keeps getting better.
