I have such mixed feelings on this possibility. On one hand, I think a pregnancy announcement would be lovely and fit in quite well emotionally with where the characters are right now. On the other hand however, I just can't say that I'd be looking forward to the changes that it would necessitate in the show. Obviously, it's out of my hands so I'll just be happy if the show continues for a season 8!

I know it would be one of the happiest days in my life if #3 would be Kate Beckett Castle. However, we probably fit into the new job category than the pregnancy.

Unless season 8 is going to be the last season, I would rather they didn't have Kate get pregnant. A pregnancy scare might be an interesting plot twist though.

It would be a good way to end the series. |

I love JAD sessions, NOT...but after a 3 hour meeting I finally get to take lunch. Allow me to put in my five cents. What if it's a different kind of pregnancy scare, such as Kate only finding she was pregnant when she loses the baby and then is told by her doctor that with her injuries and the way she's abused her body (not eating, taking down thugs twice her size, etc.) she can't have a baby?
Geez that's dark...SB must be so proud.
Now that I'm home and reading this I should have added that the emotions this would cause are something that both Stana and Nathan could really sink their teeth into.

From a performance standpoint, I agree that this would be an awesome storyline and it would be great to see Stana and Nathan dive into it but I'll be surprised if they ever go that way. My guess is that the baby story, when we finally get there, will be a happy story. Speaking of which, I'd much rather see a Caskett baby than have the story delve into politics. The senator idea really turns me off. I've got my fingers crossed that it doesn't go that way. |

I was thinking more along the lines of Kate thinking she's pregnant... late, not feeling well... freaked out that she might be, but then finds out she isn't.
You know the writers on this show have a thing for teasing one thing and doing something else... (like the wedding buildup in season 6) If they even have the inkling that there'll be a season 9 then it's unlikely we'll see Kate pregnant.
Unless of course Stana actually does get pregnant and doesn't want to hide it. (hey it can happen, even when you're trying not to, that sorta thing is kinda how I came to be) |

Definitely for a PG scare or a real pregnancy. A fitting HEA for our DD's final season if that's what this season turns out to be.  |
