Podcast review of the 1st half of season 8

Here is a link to a group of people who do weekly reviews of castle on line. They get together twice a season to talk about how Castle is going. I heard many of the same frustrations with the season that many have written about on our board. Here is the link if you want to hear their thoughts.

So I caught the first 30 minutes and I agree that the finale last season was the perfect way to end this show. Rick has matured...Kate is a mess...the show runners have created this new direction that just is missing the mark. One of the guys said he would have filed for divorce and I agree 100% with him....it is just not jelling....The assumption is she is not an effective captain and she is not a good wife and the only time she pays attention to her husband is when he makes a "Fist". Thanks for not blaming Stana though. She can only do what is on paper....but nice argument that she is a producer and they eluded to how could she agree with this new Beckett?

I think the bottom line is that this show has run its course and needs to be put out of its misery . Interesting banter....and a great spinoff idea about Martha's character, teaching acting on Broadway.

I will need to hear the rest....Interesting to say the least ... Also someone said that Nathan will miss a show as well...unbelievable

I find it interesting that 95% or more of the comments I have seen written or discussed about this season are that people aren't happy with the way they are going. And yet they keep saying everything is going well?
I enjoyed this podcast. They brought up some good points. I do agree that they should have called it quits at 723. I remember back in maybe season 3, Nathan and Stana both saying that they didn't want to see this show die a slow ratings death but wanted to go out on top. They had their chance last year but now they seem ok with stringing it along as long as they get a paycheck?

Tycho, thank you soo much for posting this. I loved it! I kept thinking that this would be the kind of discussion that people on this board would voice. The only other show that I would regularly listen to a podcast was for Legend of the Seeker.

If not for the fine folks on this site and another I'm associated with.......I'd be as gone as a wild goose in winter.

I think only devine intervention can save the abomination that is this show in it's current form.

TPTB don't have a lick of sense.
