Okay,
Just curious
I'm super stoked for the six new episodes of the X-Files that are coming out. Anyone else feel the same way?
Only 11 more days to go.

I loved the series up until about season 7. I actually stopped walking by the end but I've seen all the movies. I'm hesitant but curious to see what they do with this mini series so I'll be watching...

OK, here's a challenge for all you X-Files officianados!!!!! I had never watched the show but did have an inkling about the Scully/Mulder chemistry, but that was all I knew. I watched the Pilot last night and of course was ABSOLUTELY FASCINATED by the the interplay and chemistry between the two of them.
Now, here's my problem. There's no way I will have enough time to watch the entire series....and as much as I adore watching these two interact, I can only take so much gory paranormal-liver ripper outers a night...I managed to get through the pilot and episodes 2 and 3, but I assume that is just the tip of the iceberg for goryness, googly-eyed, slimy skinned...well, you get my drift.
Would any of you be fanatic enough to now what key episodes one might watch from the series to kind of winnow things down??? I know that's heresy, but, again, probably would never be able to get through the entire series. If you have some recommendations, I would like to try to fit in as many as I can between now and the new series.
Thanks so much.

Hi everyone
Fjordmom I think that may be a tough ask because there are different elements. You have the alien thing, the 'monster of the week' thing and the personal stuff. However I am sure fans will be able to give you some episodes to watch. Although I watched, I am rubbish at remembering the episode titles. Squeeze has a 2nd episode, titled Tooms. There is also one with a serial killer called Donnie who captures Scully which had a 2nd episode. There's a terrific one (I thought) about smoking. There's also one with 2 Demons, the guest star being one Bruce Campbell. And there's a fun one on a ship where Scully is in a different time period.
I look forward to being reminded of the episodes.

B.x Eee. Donnie Pfaster. Just recently re-watched "Irresistible" and "Orison" One of the more creepier human villains on the X-Files. I love Nick Chinlund (He's appeared on Castle back in Season 1 "Home is Where the Heart Stops")

Thanks for that tefla. See I recognise his name but wouldn't be able to name the actor if someone asked me. Same with the actor who plays Skinner who was also in Castle of course. Donnie was seriously creepy. That quiet way he had - shivers! And also a reminder that they were FBI agents who could deal with the kind of 'monsters' that truly exist in the real world, unfortunately.

:: chuckles :: Sadly I don't think I'll get my planned viewing in before the episodes start. Curse work and the need for cash flow.
In other news ... Space (Canadian station) will have a 2 day X-Files marathon with classic episodes picked by Chris Carter. I'll be able to watch most of Saturday, not sure about Sunday

I only wish the episode would have started on time tonight. Blech on football games and post game shows.
I think I have it all on my parents' PVR.
I'm finding this interesting

I'm finding this interesting Unless you added the next show after to also record you will miss about 25 minutes of the episode. We stopped watching the game but between when it pooped back to that channel I realized what they did so tapped the news after. I hate it when they do this as the DVR won't follow a show but just tape the original time. Poor move to air this at a time that it may change. Maybe FOX will show it again but with the next episode tonight I think they may have already lost to many people. Sent from my SM-N910V using proboards
