Thanks Java!!! Great Stuff. At first, I began to smile, then I found myself tearing up a bit and then I kinda got a little angry at the Show Runners who messed with their magic and our  . If they only knew what they have done. I am not so sure they do, cause I don't see this ever being the same. That's why I got a little sad. Hepburn and Tracey would have been proud of these two. I hope the second third of this trilogy season rebounds. Being moved the way I was during the video reminded me that this bond we share with these two is personal and it has effected us all in so so many ways. If this is the end, I hope they at least leave us with the amazing memories and the magic, that will certainly live on forever. What a great show, what a great leading lady and her man. So glad to be a part of this. I hope when it fades to black for the last time, we laugh, we cry and most importantly....we remember. |

Well put, kman. They were just magic together, right up to the point of S6E23 when TPTB jerked the rug out from underneath millions of people. IMO, the show has been in a slow decline since that point. I, still, would like to know the reasoning that went into the decision not to give a huge devoted fan base the wedding we all wanted and, I feel, deserved. JMO.
That was a beautiful video with many wonderful scenes. Thanks for posting it, java!!

Kman, I love your response and I found mine mirroring yours completely. I sit here right now, wiping away tears and they're a mixture of happiness and anger. Watching this beautiful relationship bloom and grow has been such a source of joy for me all these years and watching the two of them exchange their wedding vows was a mountain-top moment for me. When I watched that part of the video though, it makes me SO angry that the new show runners shattered that sacred promise.
I have to remind myself that the first 7 seasons can never be taken away from me so I'll always have the journey to watch and enjoy. I just don't know if this one can find it's way back to a satisfying ending. I sure hope so but am not encouraged by what I've read about the direction things are headed.

I just watched Countdown for about the 20th time or so. I actually got choked up thinking how wonderful the show was at that time and how dynamic Rick and Kate were. It's truly sad and it HURTS how much things have changed. JMO
