I loved these books when I first read them. Kinda fell in love with Jamie Fraser a little bit. They are long books, 600+ pages per book, but I found them very easy to get lost in and go through 100 pages in no time. Unfortunately, I have not been able to see the TV series as we don't have any cable or satellite service. Hoping Santa will be leaving the DVD set under the tree for me. I followed a couple of different reviewers who recapped the show every week, and for the most part it followed the book. I think I do recall a couple of episodes where it was mentioned that the story strayed from the book a bit, but not much. I'd have to go back through the recaps to find those episodes. I read the corresponding chapters of the book each week to follow along with the show. I'll definitely be following along with season 2 and book 2. Re: season 2....maybe we could do a combined recap via reviewers and anyone who has access to watch? Would love to read reviews of series 1 if links are available to share.

I went searching for the recaps that I read during the first seasn; most of them don't have season 1 anymore, except for the last episode. This is the best one, in my opinion tvline.com/2015/05/30/outlander-jamie-rape-randall-season-finale-recap/

The entire first season is currently available for free viewing at starz.com Don't know how long that will be available.
Season 2 starts on Starz on April 9. It will be following Dragonfly In Amber, the second book in the series.

I very recently found "Outlander". I immediately liked the show. Currently watching and recording seasons 1 & 2. Can't wait for season 3. This may very well be my "next show" after Castle !
September 10th 2017. STARZ .... be there.

These books were very interesting. The author lives here in the valley. My favorite bookstore, The Poison Pen, has author events with her. I was happy to see these books get made into a series. I bought season 1 & 2. We don't get that channel but on the free weekend I can sometimes get caught up. Glad you discovered this great love story.

I'm way behind now because of my disability. Last I watched was December 2015 and I'll have to start over again because my brain damage erased part of my memory. Most likely I'll rewatch Castle! 😃

Season three finale this coming Sunday night 12/10/17. Have absolutely loved this series. The love story is great. The characters superb. The cast extraordinary. Caitriona Belfe and Sam Heughan burn up the screen with their chemistry. Much like another couple I remember.

I recently had lunch with a friend and she raved about this series and the incredible chemistry so I decided to purchase season 1 on DVD and give it a shot. Chemistry is what drew me to Castle so I'm guessing I'll enjoy it. I probably won't have time to do it until after the holidays but, when I do, I'll jump back in here to share my thoughts. GREAT to see a post from you, Arky!!!!!!

I might have to sign up for STARZ and watch all 4 seasons. I did buy season one but have not seen the other seasons.

I'm almost desperate for the new season of Outlander. (My new favorite) Same goes for Game Of Thrones!
Oddly I never watched GOT until this last season. I now understand how so many people got hooked on it. I've binge watched all seasons.
