I never really paid much attention to AMC. It was one of those filler channels included in my cable programming that I would never bother to watch. All that changed with Mad Men (2007). Whoa! Then they came out with Breaking Bad (2008), still the most impressive series I've ever seen to date and should be considered mandatory viewing because the final season 5 is how you wrap up a series. Then came The Walking Dead (2010) which will be broadcasting the season 6 finale next Sunday and now they'll be alternating with the spinoff, actually a parallel storyline, Fear the Walking Dead. In 2014, AMC released Turn: Washington's Spies. A couple of weeks ago, AMC released In the Badlands. Yesterday was the second episode. WOW!!! If there was a TV for guys who love TV, AMC would run neck and neck with HBO and arguably win. Maybe. Imagine Mad Max/Road Warrior mixed with Kill Bill and a little bit of North and South. Oh, heck. That's not even accurrate. I can't even desribe it so I'll let you go read about it and watch the full first two epsides from AMC here. www.amc.com/shows/into-the-badlandsGraphic, gratuiteous, stylized bloody villiance. Interesting storylines. Looks promising. Keep the kids away. Check it out. Sorry, gotta run. Blindspot and Castle are up next.
