These are from Matt Mitovich from TVLine: Does anything good happen in the Castle fall finale (airing Monday)? –BarrySince I just got done watching it, why don’t I give you a taste of what happens and then you can decide/debate what is “good”? 1) We learn the (unconventional) location of where Vikram and Beckett will be conducting their super-secret LokSat snooping from here on. 2) The Case of the Week is handled almost exclusively by Rick and Kate, together. 3) “Lucy” makes a return! 4) Those who have rightfully complained that Rick A) hasn’t taken Kate to task enough for the abrupt “time out” and B) seems poised to forgive and forget should (should!) be somewhat pleased with some of the angry things he gets to say this Monday. 5) Will Rick’s covert investigation of Kate’s mystery text bring them back together, or blow things up in an irreversible way? Possible hint: One of the marrieds at one point frets, “I just hope I didn’t nuke my marriage.” You can see the full article here: tvline.com/2015/11/22/castle-season-8-fall-finale-spoilers-rick-kate/

I was thinking also either Castle's PI office or his loft. It's hard to think they will get back together in one episode, but let's hope it's a step in the right direction.

I think it's Rick who says the line about nuking the marriage. Probably after saying those angry things, he gives Kate an ultimatum, either you do this with me or we're done....and (I'm hoping) she chooses the former :-)

I am really apprehensive about tonight's episode. We have all had to work so hard recently to continue to enjoy this show that I just don't know how much patience I have for one more twist, set back, drama, or road block. I don't freaking want to have to keep justifying to myself (and everyone else) everything that Castle and Beckett do. I want to smile and enjoy my show, not wring my hands over my favorite characters' continued misery.
Every single preview I've read has been deliberately stingy about emotional reactions, I suspect, because they know not everyone is going to come out of this finale satisfied with the developments or trajectory. And for some reason, I feel I'm in that group. I hope I'm wrong, but my expectations right now are nil, and that really ticks me off after last week. I guess I'll have my answers soon enough.

In TVGuide Mega Buzz today: Castle Mega Buzz: So Are Castle and Beckett Back Together? Many Castlefans probably cheered last week when, despite their separation, Castle and Beckett celebrated their first wedding anniversary with some time between the sheets. So, is the separation officially over? Not so fast. Although Monday's midseason finale (10/9c, ABC) keeps those happier vibes going -- especially when Beckett (Stana Katic) and Castle (Nathan Fillion) try to solve a murder case together while stuck on a cruise ship -- when the case reveals a possible connection to the larger LokSat mystery, Beckett is again reminded why she pushed Castle away in the first place. And things only get tougher between the couple when Castle does some digging of his own and uncovers more of Beckett's deception. Elsewhere, the episode introduces Kristoffer Polaha's recurring character. "He plays a public defender," executive producer Terence Paul Winter says. "He's a true believer in justice, which is very similar to Beckett." However, that doesn't mean they won't butt heads. "By design, public defenders are often at odds with the NYPD because they represent a lot of the criminals the 12th precinct brings in," Winter says. "That will create a bit of conflict that will carry on into future episodes we're planning in the new year." www.tvguide.com/news/mega-buzz-castle-beckett-back-together/
