I'm totally behind the eight ball on this, as the 12th site will be shut down tomorrow.
As a 10,000+ poster over there, it is saddening me greatly to lose so much of myself from that place. As I am a technical idiot, I have no idea how to preserve so much of what I shared. In particular, I'm wondering about the Castle Convention thread, from 2012, when Tycho, Nathanfan, iCaskett, b4Castlefire, myself, and a few others all met there for the first time, and had the glorious, marvelous, heart-pounding experience of meeting Nathan, L.T. and Robert Duncan, among others at the Con, Penny, Tamala, Chuck, Rob & Steven Bowman, Warren Bowman, Luke, and so many more people from Castle... That thread that all of shared, our thoughts, experiences, feelings...comments from others, is so precious. I just don't know how to preserve it, or where I would even put it.
The other threads I know I started, like our favorite fan-vids, "It's in the Details" thread, and whatever else, I cannot remember, can be started again.
Anyway, I don't even know if I'm able to get an answer, just my way of attempting to let go, I guess.
Thank you to anyone who has anything to add or any ideas. Again, I know it's almost too late, but had to put my thoughts out there.

I know java has brought most of the Paleo info over here, the other thread I most wanted to preserve. I'm so thankful! And I have tried to photo/screen cap the comments I wanted to save from that thread.
I think at some point I will re-start the new Favorite Fan-Vids thread and the details thread. I have no idea in what season or episode that was last posted to, but there certainly a bazillion tidbits, hidden treasures and what-knots to discover in every episode. Even just observations, call-backs, whatever is noticed in an episode by anyone that is fair game. I remember I noticed Castle's sleeve cuffs were oftentimes embroidered with his initials, "R.C.", but I haven't seen that lately. There are all kinds of things on his loft bookshelves, I know one thing is the typewriter and feather pen that pays homage to the writer Stephen Cannell. And I know Tycho is going to slap my wrist if I don't spell his name correctly... lol... Anyway, I"m rambling. It feels good to do so.
Okay, I'm off to go get some exercising in. My Paleo coach tells me it's time to feel the burn as I work on shedding these last pounds.
Maybe we could change the name of this thread to "Random Thoughts"... or "Share Whatever is on Your Heart/Mind" thread... lol.....
Glad to be here. I've missed so many of you.

Its rather tedious but I have saved stuff from message boards by copying the text from the posts to a Word document on my computer. Hopefully some of the more tech-savvy people around here will see this and maybe have more advice/knowledge about it.

My problem is I am camping in the mountains and don't have access to my desktop. I expected to be back Wednesday but now we won't be back until next week. I did what I could on my phone. I did save most of our 'Tales from LA" post from the first Castle Con. I have all of my puzzles saved. The rest will be memories soon.

Tycho did just that, and another friend told me to do the same thing. I'm working on saving some things... just too much time and effort invested in some of that. And some, just sentimental. You know...

I have been so busy preparing for two graduations, among other things, that I am behind the eight ball with a lot right now. What I have will be treasured, the memories for the rest will remain.

I did the same as Mowtown, CK. Spent every spare minute the last few days copying special PM's and posts of mine. It wasn't easy for my measly 1545 posts, but if you click on your own name you will see were you can view your threads and posts. Maybe Java can help with some detail on how he brought over the paleo thread, 'cause I don't know how it was done. Like I said, I copied every one I wanted to save.
I really appreciate that Lisa kept the site up as long as she did.

I copied the HTML source codes from the 12th and pasted it in the source code screen here before switching back to the normal view for editing.
