Theresa: Can I also say how much more enjoyable I found Castle this week without Beckett? I like Beckett, but this week was just a fun episode and actually made me laugh a lot. I would love to see more Ethan and Castle together.

Matt Roush: ...And thank you for finding something positive to say about Castle. (My mail is still running 99 percent negative over developments from the current season.) Agreed that Adam Baldwin makes any show better, including this one, ratings aside.

I'm hoping that the showrunners have been hit over the head enough by the negative response to this season that they've plotted a serious course correction for the second half of the season. Fingers crossed.

I hope so too. They must have been hit enough I'm sure, and I hope the correction comes before this first half is over :-).

I'm not a bit surprised at the high percentage of dissatisfied fans and I, too, hope that the show runners are hit over the head with it. Unfortunately, I just don't think there's any kind of fix that'll get the viewers back before a cancellation is announced.

I don't disagree that there is a strong possibility that this may be what we're left with...but I refuse to give up hope!

I couldn't ever give up on this show being as obsessed as I ask with it, but I do hope the recent poll at the abc advisory board and how all the negative feedback this season has received will change the course if the current state of the show was planned to continue. I'm ready for this arc to be finished.

I agree with all of you. Bugg, I also am in it til the wheels fall off and I really liked last weeks episode but I am afraid the powers that be just don't get it. The Castle fandom made this show when it was the little show that could but they will destroy it by leaving in droves if it doesn't get fixed fast.  In fact, they already have.  I agree with Nathanfan1 that it is probably to late to save it but I really hope I am wrong.
