Hi everyone
Sorry I can only assume that it's because of what I have been reading about S8 that I find that sneak peek insulting. It makes Kate look stupid in my eyes. She didn't try to call the bluff of the woman who recognised her as Rick's wife and I didn't see Hayley doing anything positive either. I really fear that if there is not something more encouraging that happens in this episode and Mr & Mrs Castle, then I will certainly be curious to see just how many fans bother to return to the show in 2016.

1Lincoln40, I too watch this clip and have questions such as: -Why is a Captain going undercover? -Why is Hayley with her? Aren't there other capable female NYPD officers on the force? -Why does Hayley come across more confident than Beckett in this clip? What happened to our badass Detective Beckett? I don't want to be negative and I'm desperately trying to keep an open mind until I see the episode in it's entirety but this clip isn't making it easy.

I really enjoyed the clip. I imagine it's difficult to be try to question someone, even covertly, while wearing nothing but a towel, as well as trying to find a plausible way to view a posterior tattoo. Obviously the conversation about Beckett's marriage is a ploy to bring up tattoos in front of the suspect, and I attribute Kate's hesitance to unexpectedly being recognized -- not just made as a cop, but outed as the wife of her famous husband. I get the feeling she hasn't quite gotten used to that, and this is the first time we've seen where she is the one who is recognized. I'm trying to keep my expectations in check, but I'd by lying if I said I wasn't more excited about this than any episode since 8x02. Here's to hoping, right! |

Saw a tweet this morning from Rob Hanning warning people that the Promo that ABC put out for tonight's episode gives people the wrong impression. Kate isn't even in the scene with the lawyer asking about the divorce.
ABC lives to screw with fans.

PTVJ all reasonable questions and what I find sad is that fans still watching are desperately trying to find something to be happy about, the way we all were once. Not only waiting for the new episode but after it had ended.
Angie - Kate was recognised in Dead From New York and was surprised and yes, I think she has a problem being recognised, not just as Rick's inspiration but her actions. Can't quite remember the episode where she was told that people have noticed her and also in that 'interview' in Hollanders Wood where she was offered to run for Senate.
Tycho - Hanning just seems to be confirming what has been said before that those involved with Castle have no control over what ABC uses to promote the show.

B.x Yes I know this. Andrew and Terri talked about this at the Castle Con I think? When they had the tiger episode they had to make a special plea for ABC not to show the tiger. I think it is so wrong that some fool at ABC that has the power just picks some arbitrary thing to put in the promo. The writers have put so much effort into weaving the story so we hopefully don't figure out the whole story before the episode has aired, only to the the ABC promo guys reveal way too much. |

I just hope that somehow, she makes her way back to the loft tonight..... Nice dinner, cause I doubt she hasn't had a good meal in ages, nice glass of wine(That Special One that puts her in the mood)....a little music.....a little schmoochie schmoochie....  Oh come on!!! I can dream can't I. But most of all, lets all have a laugh and a hoot and shed a happy tear for a change. |
