Unfortunately, "moving the ball down the field" doesn't sound like they're going to be back together this fall. I do so hope my spidey senses are wrong though!

Wow! I just read through the comments after the Entertainment article and there is absolutely NO DOUBT that a LOT of the long-time faithful fans have lost their patience with this new Castle dynamic. It was an overwhelmingly negative response to what the show runners said.

Wow! I just read through the comments after the Entertainment article and there is absolutely NO DOUBT that a LOT of the long-time faithful fans have lost their patience with this new Castle dynamic. It was an overwhelmingly negative response to what the show runners said. Wow, no joke! Even the worst episodes usually have some evidence of support, or at least forgiveness, but this time, the criticism is unrelenting. And sadly, all too warranted. I guess Winter and Hawley don't have much choice but to play up the storyline, but it's pretty clear no one is buying. I can't help but wonder, what's the worst that could happen if they said, "You know, we misjudged fans' reactions to this storyline, and it wasn't received as we'd hoped, but we're working toward better times to come. Don't give up on us yet." I imagine it would work wonders with fans, but would probably spell professional suicide at ABC. For some reason, we too often equate honesty and responsibility with weakness, which is why no one, from politicians to business owners to Hollywood executives can ever own up to a mistake. But in this case, a little acknowledgement that perhaps this wasn't the best storyline plan would go a long way toward restoring some faith. But I doubt we'll get it.
