In the CHEERS AND JEERS column by Damian Holbrook, Castle received a Jeer which stated:
JEERS TO CASTLE for dragging out Rick and Beckett's separation. After fans waited forever for these two to get together, they pull this breakup crap for drama's sake? Please. Even Castle could have come up with a better storyline.
I just had to share this with the others here who, like myself, are not so thrilled with the storyline thus far this season. That being said, I sincerely hope that things do get better and we get our wonderful show back. It's too sad to think otherwise. JMO |

AMEN! I just responded to a similar bit from TV Line. I have yet to read anything positive about this separation from any of the people who cover Castle on line. We are surely not alone folks!

I just hope that Terence & Alexi have listened to someone other than the writers room and they will get them back together by the fall final.

I want to believe there is a light at the end of this very dark tunnel but my fear is that it will be an oncoming train. I hate that I am truly losing hope in this season.

I think this could have worked much better if they had treated it like a three or four part start to the season. Make the Lokstat case the center of the plot. Go all in and have Beckett actually leave. Have her and Vikram chasing down Lokstat, and have Castle and the boys chasing them. Could have been exciting.

If it was a condensed arc, perhaps it could have worked and been exciting and dramatic but the way they are dragging this miserable story out while continually telling us they are increasing the "fun" has been horrible. |

They are already filming episodes to be broadcast after the winter break. It would be nice if they have actually been listening to the fans' concerns over these last two months and rethink this whole thing, but I fear that may not happen.
