Thankfully, no one. For those of you who didn't see it, TVLine recently had a blind item that said an established series was going to kill off one of its major characters. A lot of people speculated it was Castle. Hawley and Winters answered the rumor at EW.com. www.ew.com/article/2015/10/27/castle-showrunners-co-leads-not-dyingI have to say I didn't find Hawley's joke all that funny... "Hawley joked: “[If it were true], I can’t imagine we’d be sitting here saying you’re going to be excited to see what happens in January." ...mainly because they promised us they'd be focusing on the Caskett love story this season and then they broke them up in episode 2! So they haven't exactly earned my trust but I'm willing to believe that no one will die this season. Fingers crossed.

Who's going to die?
Our patience, and likely any shot at a season 9 if they don't end this damn separation in short order after the hiatus ends.

Why does it feel like the drama this season is more about what the fans are going through instead of the characters?
I didn't really think they'd kill off Beckett but as you said, with the way this season has been going it was hard to write it off completely. I'm at least relieved we won't have to deal with this. Now if they'd just get Caskett back together then maybe I could begin enjoying my favorite show again.

I am taking a "we'll see what happens" attitude. Right now the show runners have no credibility with me.

Why does it feel like the drama this season is more about what the fans are going through instead of the characters? Fossie that is such a great observation!!! I think a lot of us have been trying to answer that question since the Pilot. I feel that we have always felt that we were right by their sides and we felt what they felt and the situations that they endured, we did, many times in real life, also. This show hits so close to home that we, as fans, always just "partnered" with them and when we asked the questions, the characters always had the answers for us. It's like we are talking to them. And when the angst and what not came knocking, we were there to feel it and become empathetic to their needs, wants and desires. Like I said, I could go on for hours.....that was a brilliant observation...well done.

Thank you, I do not think I could watch it anymore if they killed off either, Kate or Rick.

It's like every time the showrunners use the word "fun" I think it must mean something different in their language because I'm certainly not having much fun watching Castle this season.

"Fun" has become the new "Four Letter Word" in here. LOL
