Castle not in the top 25 in demo increase. Needed to beat .9 increase, which I don't think Castle has done his year. Had the 12th biggest viewer increase. 6,782,000 million to 10,523,000 million.

castle88, I'm going to need help dissecting what you said. I understand L+7 means live viewers and those who watch on DVR within the first 7 days but that's all I understand. 1. I understand that "demo" means the 18-49 age group. Does the demo increase you're talking about refer to live viewers or the entire L+7? 2. Why does 8x03 need to beat a 0.9 increase? 3. When you say that the 12th biggest viewer increase from 6.782 million to 10.523 million in light of a low demo mean that the viewership comes mostly from the 50+ age group? Thx!

It only needed to beat .9 to make the top 25 biggest increases from live to L+7. FYI Castles increase was .8 which was a 67% increase and 23rd largest percentage increase. 3. No. The demo increase has been .9 all year. So .8 not that different. Final thought. It is not clear that L+7 means a whole lot other than a way for marketing departments to say nice things. Most pros in this area will tell you same day demo is really all that matters. Who knows for sure.

I would think losing live viewers would be a bad omen because those with recordings will just skip the commercials so I doubt advertisers would be willing to shell out $$$$ for a show with declining live viewers.
