Our very own tefla joined in on our round table this week and did a wonderful job. What were our team's thoughts on Captain Beckett vs. Detective Beckett? Did they approve of Ryan working for Castle and how long will we all hang in there with the Caskett separation? Take a look at our round table to find out... www.tvfanatic.com/2015/10/castle-round-table-captain-vs-detective-beckett/And feel free to leave your answers in the comment section. We'd love to hear what you think.

Good job, guys.
Martha & Kate moment the best.
Kate's suit, awesome.
Everyone, except Martha, pretending Castle & Kate aren't married, worst. arc. ever.

I LOVE Captain Beckett! I think there's lots of potential upside if they write the story right because it changes all interactions. Yes, there will be less kicking down doors with high heels on but we do get a chance to see her lead and command the troops, interact with elected officials, and play the political game. House of Cards Lite anyone? I'm not saying every episode but it does open up possibilities for some serious drama.
If they paint Kate at her desk all the time: fail. Yes, she will be at her desk just like when she was a detective doing paperwork and we did get some great dialogue but now the venue has shifted to an office. Ditto with the interrogation room. Now, she'll be yelling at people in her office. Lots of possibilities including a lot of downside if they do it wrong.
And yes I think we can still have scenes of her with Castle in her office but probably only after hours or when she's dealing with him in his PI capacity. Very difficult to write the story now that they're married and she's captain because it's next to impossible to have him follow her around. Seriously, does your spouse follow you around at work if you're not working a business together?
Tough roads ahead.

On the other hand, everyone at the 12th Precinct knows Castle was instrumental in solving many cases. The CIA, Homeland Security, FBI, mayor's office, and the AG office all know who he is and what he's done so who's going to kick him out other than Kate, Espo, Ryan, and Lanie?

Nicely done, as always. I really enjoy the varied POV. I thought Martha was great walking into Kate's office to talk to her. A really good scene. I kinda like Capt. Kate. I feel it beats the snot out of being a politician IMO. I liked what she did for the boys. Alexis was bearable this week. Like Christine, it REALLY bugs me that Rick has shown no anger over Kate's actions and she just acts like what she's done is okay. What the hell is that?? Okay, I'm done. P.S. Best epi of the year so far IMO.

Nice job to all!! When I analyze my true issues with this year, the elephant in the room is that Castle keeps saying that he has to "WIN HER BACK"!!!! That drives me crazy. If it wasn't for that insane phrase his efforts to discover what is going on would be almost acceptable. The premise wouldn't make Castle look like such a goober and Kate wouldn't look stupid and thoughtless. The "WIN HER BACK" mentality permeates all the scenes and overshadows great Castle-like dialog and situations. What were they thinking??

Great round table! Great to see such different opinions. I loved Nartha and Kate's talk, probably the best moment of the episode. I'm not sure how to phrase this or if anyone will understand. Everyone is talking about "Castle winning her back" but that's Castle's thought. She has told him she hasn't left him. That she loves him, and she hopes he forgives her. Beckett doesn't need to be won over. She is hoping at the end it is he who takes her back! Castle is exhibiting the same emotions anyone in love who has been separated goes through. "What is wrong with me?" And "I'm going to try and win him/her back" I've really thought this out...she is not sure he will want her back after all is said and done, because she is shutting him out to protect him....and he feels he has to make her fall in love with her again, because he's looking only at the surface. She does love him and though we all think they can do this together, she may know that has to keep them apart. Like I said elsewhere I can't give up yet.
