martmar, I think we need a new saying, "Don't shoot the poster."  ...it's the content of the "message" that gives me agita...

Reading between the lines, I think Nathan's gut reaction to the breakup was well founded and now he's just being a good team player and quoting TPTB. Nathan has always had the point of view that it's not his show to write. He's said many times that he leaves the story to the writers and does his best to make it come alive.
