Macallan sells their 50 year old Scotch by auction and they run $12,000-$20,000 per bottle as do other distillers so they're not that hard to find if you have money. I didn't have an issue with Alexis buying it but unless she's a regular whiskey drinker I doubt she'll enjoy it nor will she be able pick up the nuances.
Of course she may have been drinking though college and her behavior this episode originated from her college days or life with Pi. Even Kate hinted at a wild youth and living with a boyfriend her father was not pleased about. On the other hand, the storyline wasn't set up for a smooth transition to an adult Alexis so we're as shocked as Castle is.
Would have preferred if Kate had bought the Scotch.

Good job with questions, PTVJ. I think this is the first time I can remember that all of the participants had such similar answers. Unfortunately, it's a mighty negative trend. Tycho, I had to chuckle about your resident scotch expert calling them out on their facts! |

I'm just as upset as a LOT of people seem to be but I just have to hang around til the bitter end. I've always watched live, when available, and DVR'd the show to watch a 2nd time but am not doing any of that this year. In my heart, I truly hope things get better but I just don't know.
I do really enjoy the roundtables because it is great to read the responses to the same question. AWESOME WORK EVERYONE!!!

Absolutely agree with all of the round table comments, and also yours, nathanfan. And I haven't even watched this one yet.
We watched Blindspot Monday night because Castle was pre-empted by football, and I have to say, it's a really good show. We hadn't seen it yet because it is in the same time slot, but we were able to pretty well follow the story because of all the pre-fall publicity it got. If things keep going this way, Blindspot will be kicking Castle's butt in a major way.
I'm a diehard and, as much as it pains me right now, I will continue to watch Castle, and just hope that somebody somewhere is getting the message for the second half of the season. I believe they've pretty much completed filming for the first half?

Very good round table.
Tycho, Top Work! Enjoyed your honest and straight forward answers. No one pulled any punches.
I'm glad that the show no longer gets the automatic benefit of the doubt for what we were always told we didn't understand. TPTB should take heed!
the poll at the end was very telling. 617 reply's says a lot.
