Hi Everyone, I just wanted to take a minute to congratulate everyone here a PFJ. Despite an episode that left fans upset, angry, shocked, and damn near literally having a heart attack ( arky, too soon?), I think as a community this board has come through it quite well. Varying opinions were and continue to be shared. Discussions and debates are ongoing but I haven’t seen anyone become disrespectful or go completely off the rails. I think we, as a fandom, may be in for a bumpy road this fall but I’m thrilled PFJ has remained a civil and overall friendly place to share our feelings and opinions. Thank you to everyone. You make me proud to be a Castle fan. Now get back at it.  Christine |

I'm still proud of us, yes....
Just finding it very difficult to get over this.
I took a two mile walk in the mall this afternoon, because our weather today was not only rain, but the cold & windy kind. While I was walking I found myself thinking about Castle. Honestly, I think I'm suffering from a broken heart for my beloved couple. They were so amazing, and so awesome - like dynamite together...watching them is a grand highlight of my week. This season held so much promise for them as a saucy yet classy married couple, doing what they do in their careers.
My heart is still breaking for my Kate. I feel the character regression is hanging over me like a suffocating cloud of smoke. I've moved from anger & frustration to sadness. Almost like a loss. For the feeling this show used to give me. I know, I know, it's just a TV show. "JUST". So why is this so upsetting?
Our brother-in-law is a psychiatrist. He & my husband's sister live in NYC. Next time we see them I really want to ask him why this effect of fictional disappointments can play on us so greatly. Maybe because we've identified with Rick & Kate in some way... is it because there is something mirrored in our life? Or something that is a perceived loss? .... And seems to intensify with the passage of time. The ties are tighter, the memories many, and the feelings of all of it have deepened. Maybe it's perceived as a threat to our well-being somehow.
Anyway. Just my musings. But it fascinates me that some of us have been so profoundly affected by this change-up. So strange to really ponder. Guess I shouldn't dwell. Again, this place is therapy. So, thank you.
For the first time in my Castle-days, I am not asking, nor do I care to ask, if it's Monday yet. Oh, I hope I get out of this funk.
And just to be clear... no rudeness, slamming, or anything of an insult is intended here. Just sharing what's in my crazy brain.

castlekat you are not alone! I think about it way too much. I love both these characters and am extremely upset at what the writers are doing to them and this once great lovestory. I berate myself daily for being so bothered!!
