Still haven't see the episode but WOW, people are upset. I never believed they could do anything more upsetting than S6E23, but it sounds like they may have done it. sh*t
Great review , as always, Christine. I love your honesty.

I think you did as well as anyone could have with this episode, given the anger and disappointment I think the majority of fans felt at that ending. Good work!

Nice job on the review, Christine, and can only imagine how difficult it must have been for you to write it. I agree with much of what you said...however, I just felt much of the storyline(s) was too over the top for me, the hour did fly by but perhaps my brain is just too old and tired to take in all the action ... or maybe I'm just not into a lot of rock 'em-sock 'em here's hoping 8x03 will help lift all our spirits!!!!!!

I agree Fjordmom that they packed a whole lot of information into each hour and the overall violence and dark tone was a little over the top. I can live with that for an episode or two but I don't want a steady diet of it. There are plenty of dark, violent shows on TV. That's not why I tune into Castle.

I agree about the show getting darker. I was afraid they might do this. There are only a few shows left that don't go down this dark rabbit hole. I agree that that is one of the draws for Castle was that it already would go to the edge bit Castle would bring them back from that cakes with a fun comment. I think Andrew was the voice that kept it this way. Hawley just came from a show I refused to watch because it was so dark. At least next week we have a Creasey episode and those are always fun. We sure need that. Sent from my SM-N910V using proboards

When she walked away in the hallway, I just kept remembering "He got away and I didn't care. All I could think about was you. I just want you." Her obsession should have culminated with Bracken. I think what they are portraying, perhaps unwittingly, is a woman with a mental illness. She doesn't need to leave Castle...she needs to spend time with her shrink, Worf.
It's convenient that ABC is owned by Disney...because Beckett's theme song, now, should be "Let it Go."
