Can you believe it? 150 episodes! Once upon a time I used to know every title and every murderer. No way now! It sounds like the Castle team has put together a rollicking good episode for this special milestone so let's enjoy and then share our thoughts afterwards - HERE - in our NEW HOME!

That was great fun from start to finish, all the great lines, Rick and Martha, a little jealousy, and, of course, Rick and Kate's dance. A very fun episode before the finale.

Enjoyed this episode. Good case with a good story, and lots of sweet character interactions. That opening scene with Martha practicing her opening line and Kate's reaction was hilarious. And it nicely set up the later scene between Rick and Martha when she confided her fears about her "second act". I laughed at the opening scene, and loved the mother/son bonding in the later scene. As exasperated as Castle gets with his mother, he does love her and is always there for her, just as she is for him. That little dance during the CRJ song was so sweet. Loved the SNT actress trying to imitate Kate's movements and demeanor. Reminded me of the Nikki Heat episode when Laura Prepon's character (how bad is it that I can't remember that character's name ) was doing the same thing. Castle's reactions to Danny Valentine's flirtations, and Kate's response, was also funny. And he and Kate taking a bow after arresting the killer during the live show was also fun. How great was it to get an "I know who the killer is!" It's been so long......that was great. All in all, a very enjoyable episode.

Lot of great moments. Martha and her opening line, and then Kate noticing that she wasn't doing it and sends Castle to intervene. Loved Castle and Martha's moment. Lots of laughs and great interaction. Liked the case , no usually only drawn in because of Ryan and Espo, but this one was good. I liked it.mcant believe it was 150!

Great fun from start to finish! Martha was an absolute hoot as she repeated her line, "Is he dead?" with every possible intonation and emotion, leaving Kate to think that she'd lost it for sure. I really liked the idea of Martha performing on Broadway again! She's such a wonderful character. Jaleel White and his puppet lawyer were hysterical! That was a really funny gag and he pulled it off like a true nut case. I also got the giggles as Danny Valentine blew Castle off completely and flirted so boldly with Kate. She did look a bit star struck and even twirled her hair which took me back to one of my all time favorite episodes when she had a date with a hunky fireman. (The Third Man) Castle communicated his jealousy quite well with looks and gestures. Interesting side story with Ryan working on Espo to be more positive. Heaven knows he could use it but poor Ryan didn't seem to get anywhere with him. LOVED the scene with Castle and Martha and the fact that Kate's the one who was sensitive to the change in Martha. Castle gives her a dose of her own advice and does a nice job of rekindling her confidence about the Preview Performance. I thought the whole situation was very realistic too. For Martha to reenter such a big stage and face new types of criticisms through social media, it was ,no doubt, intimidating. Great mother / son moment! I had another flashback to the Nikki Heat episode when Kate got irritated about being copied in her movements by the actress playing her in the sketch. Poor Castle was sure he was going to end up on the couch and I have no doubt that many a husband has had the same worry - "Is this a trick question?" The scene got even funnier when Kate and Castle burst into the office in time to see Valentine about to get thrown out the window and Castle says to let him go! Just an observation but the tech girl was not Tory. Wonder why? She's been in so many episodes this season. I'd seen the impromptu dancing on the sneak peek and am still dying to know if it was scripted. That's a perfect example of the chemistry that Nathan and Stana have together. They totally sold the fun of that whole thing! The take down in front of a live audience is definitely in the running for my favorite scene. Of course, Castle would respond to the applause and grabbing Kate's hand for the elaborate bows was so comical! Though the last scene didn't include all of the cast members, I still felt it was a way of toasting their 150th episode. Martha being "Amazeballs" was the perfect excuse but the happiness on all of their faces told me that they're all pretty darn thankful for the run this show has had and the difference it's made in their lives. Well done to the whole Castle creative team! I'll drink to that!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nathanfan here is your answer. I tweeted him with " was the dance scripted or improv?"" He answered @namu7 I wrote: "As Carly reaches the climax of her song, Castle takes Beckett by the hand and starts to dance." Nathan & Stana did the rest I think it is so amazing that we get to asked a writer questions about an episode we are watching and they actually answer back! Stayed up after the campfire tonight to watch and tweet to get your answer. Glad I did Sent from my SCH-I605 using proboards

So (with credit to Carly Rae's lyrics)....I really, really, really, really, really, really liked.....this episode! I was laughing right from the get go with Martha's different inflections of "Is he dead?" ... particularly when Kate thinks Martha's asking about the homicide call with yet another iteration of "is he dead?", and Kate replies "Yes, unfortunately Martha..." to which Martha gives her a dismissive wave of her hand....I just love Susan Sullivan. I plan on watching again because I know I missed things, there were lots of little gems of witty conversation and repartee.

Yes, Martha's little hand wave there really made me laugh too.

Anyone else keep expecting to heat "He's dead, Jim" after one of Martha's "Is he dead?"
Another call back to the Nicki Heat episode was the SNT woman asking Kate how her hair stayed so nice & how she was able to function in high heels.

This was one for the diehard fans with so many callbacks or mirrors of many episodes. Absolutely loved it and laughed the whole time. I just have one question: Where's my Tory???
I need to watch this one again.

Kbc1114, thanks so much for sharing the great catch of the writers' poster! I love the little things like that and think it just speaks of the fun they have. I need to watch again for the sake of some dialogue I'm sure I missed and to look carefully at those backgrounds!
