So, saw this on Twitter last night... I'm not sure ... but it looks legit. Apparently someone's library got the book early and so the poster shared the info from the book with the world. Apparently the dedication for Driving Heat is: Because of you. Because of us. Always. The link below is for a pic of the Acknowledgements at the end of the book.

I downloaded my kindle version last night. Finally an advantage to living on the west coast. I downloaded the audio version this morning and we are now listening to it as we travel down the road. Unfortunately or RV lost all of its oil so we are now waiting to be towed to a shop. I just hope we didn't blow the engine...
It will be interesting to see if some of the new captain stuff and the boys competing for less detective that they describe in the book show up in the show??

I just finished Driving Heat this week and I have to say I loved it. It drew me right in and I had a lot of trouble putting it down. Unfortunately, I just had thyroid surgery so I am off for awhile. Fortunately, I had this book to read. I think it is the best one of the Nikki Heat series. Much like the show, I loved the non-stop action. Better than the last end of Episode 2 on the show, the book had a fabulous ending. So much happier than the show. Tycho: I would love to see some of that competition between Espo and Ryan that Roach had in the book as well. They could make that so much fun. Especially now that Ryan and Jenny have another one on the way.

I have it but haven't had the chance to start reading it yet. It's good to know I have so much to look forward to.

This one is MUCH better than the last one, Raging Heat. It's always interesting to see how sometimes the books are ahead of what happens on the show and other times it's behind. I always read the books with the idea that it is from Castle's perspective so the thoughts might be different than you would think for Beckett/ Heat. We listened to the book as we traveled back home. It's fun when we both laugh when something happens. I'm not sure if someone had n very watched the show and knew the characters, if they would get the subtext. These books are definitely different than a normal novel.
They were running a special on kindle versions of the older books for $.99. If you want to read one watch for the specials. You can read a kindle book on many devices.

I just started Driving Heat. I'm sure I will enjoy it just as much as all the others. I'm very pleased to see it on the best sellers list for the last couple weeks. That's always good news.

I just finished the book and REALLY enjoyed it. I, too, felt it was well written and a very good book. For me, I can always tell how much I enjoyed a book by the fact that I was sorry to see it end. LOL, but that's just me! Did anyone else who has read it get the feeling that this was the last book?? I truly hope not but it had that feeling to me. I don't think I'm being a spoiler here by saying, "Didn't you just love the wedding of Nikki and Jameson??" It was everything that I wanted for Rick and Kate. I actually got a little misty reading it. Softie me, hey?

I totally agree Geezer! I felt the ending was exactly what we should have gotten on the show. I also wondered if it might be the last one. We don't usually get any indication during the season that Castle is writing any more so we'll just have to wait and see.

I enjoyed this book much more that Raging Heat. It will be interesting to see if we get more now that Andrew has bowed out of the show. I did love the wedding. It is the one we should have gotten in 623.
