Hi All, Well, I had quite the weekend. I spent it in Indianapolis. My husband and I managed to get two tickets to Friday night's Taylor Swift concert and we surprised our daughter with them on her 15th birthday earlier in October. She's been a fan since she was five and was crushed when I couldn't get tickets almost two years ago to the show near us. Indianapolis was the last US stop on the tour (it ends in December in Canada.) Thankfully, airfare from NJ ti IN was cheap. We had so much fun. It was an incredible show at Lucas Oil Stadium. A sold out crowd with over 69,000 people. I'll post more about it soon, but I have to run now and I wanted to get this thread started. Hoping you're November is starting off great too! Check in and let us know.

Wonderful that you could go to a Swift concert. It is something you both will never forget. Winter has arrived finally in Arizona. I am finally wearing long pants and a sweatshirt today. First hot espresso today also. My one cat loves to sit on top of my espresso machine and enjoy the heat as I steam my milk. I was so happy to see so many pictures of the Orca pods swimming in Puget sound yesterday. They are finally looking healthy. they went into the cove where their pod was decimated and captured 50 years ago. The matriarch "Granny" died a few years ago. she would never lead them back to this horrible cove. I think they were just following the salmon now and didn't even realize what this cove was to their pod.

I voted today. Took less than an hour. The polls closed at 6. It's now 6:20 and people are still standing in line to vote, but they have already declared the winner for Governor, Atty Genl, US Senate, & a couple others. We were the 1st state in 2020 to be declared for Trump. I'm sure it will be the same this time. I'm so stressed out about this election.
PTVJ, so happy you got to come to my great state to see Taylor. What a great surprise for your daughter. Indy generally handles huge crowds pretty well. 69,000 is less than a third of the Indy 500 crowd.

2 days ago I saw he 1st Christmas lights. They were the white lights that line the roof and on the bushes. Not sure if they just put them up and were checking them out or if they are up for the duration.

ibmjas, this was my second short trip to Indiana and, other than one hiccup with parking, all went well. The city was certainly excited for this concert. From the moment we stepped off the plane, the airport had Taylor Swift music, decorations, and displays everywhere. The Girl Scouts of Indianapolis had a friendship bracelet (a big thing with Swifties) making stand in the middle of the airport. You could make, take, trade, and share the bracelets for free and take photos with different Swift-themed displays. It was a lot of fun. This was the largest audience for a concert they'd ever had at the stadium, but I didn't see any problems. Of course, a Taylor Swift concert is predominantly female and everyone was just so darn happy to be there, share friendship bracelets, admire one another's outfits. Everyone dresses in the style of one of Taylor's 11 albums. My daughter's "era" was the Evermore album. I went with the newest album, The Tortured Poets Department. One of the things I really loved was how fans made sure employees, security, and police officers all got friendship bracelets too, and thanked police officers for being there to protect us. I'd guess that's not the norm for most cops working a concert or event. And the concert was excellent. I didn't know the opening act, Gracie Abrams, but I liked her and will likely listen to more of her music. And Taylor played for almost 4 hours straight. It was an amazing show and an adventure I'm sure we'll never forget.
