Hi All, Well, my cold is pretty much gone, for which I'm grateful. And the weather is amazing. Sunny and in the 70s every day. The down side is that we haven't had any rain in about three weeks. Some of my flowers and most of my lawn are suffering. The weather report doesn't show any rain next week either. ibmjas, I hope your cough is gone too. larryholmes, that's so cool that you had foreign exchange students at your home. It sounds like you all got something from the experience. And I'm envious of your wife being able to speak another language. I've tried to learn Spanish for years and have never gotten very far. tycho657, I hope you made it to the cemetery okay and your RV doesn't give you any more trouble. And that things cool off there so it's easier for you and the kitties to enjoy your travels. I look forward to everyone checking in and letting us know how your week is going.

Glad to hear the cold & cough's are going away. It's like our bodies to not like the change of seasons. Next time whole chickens are on sale I need to make my winter batch of chicken soup so If I feel a cold coming on I can have some to eat. I am off on my 2nd campout for the season tomorrow. I hope this one goes better than the last one. My fridge got a new element for cooling on electric. So far it is cold. This trip is with my RVW women's group. We will be going to a Arizona State Park near Tucson. They go to State parks for most Rally's. My other group goes to RV parks so we can use the clubhouse for games and cooking. My Siamese kitty was not a happy traveler on the first trip going to the park. She was fine on the return trip. It was so nice to open the doors in the evening and at night to let in the cool air. They say it will jump back up into the 90's this week. Hoping it will be cooler where I am camping.

DrvrTrnr, we were so very sorry to hear of your husband's passing! It is never easy to lose a loved one. Our condolences to you and your family I hope the rest of you with colds have mended and are "froggy" again! Our Fall was really late this year. In the last week and a half, our leaves finally changed to beautiful. We took a couple of excursions up to Door County and to Minocqua for colors and the trips were awesome. Now the trees are shedding their leaves and it is Fall here. Temps are still warmer than normal though. Most days, we can still go out without coats. I had the opportunity recently to go Musky fishing with my Grandson, Pete. He won the guided trip by writing an essay that won us our day on the water. Unfortunately, we did not have any luck. Musky's have to be 50 inches long to keep on our waters here. The largest caught on our guide's boat this year was 55 inches. The HS football playoffs start tonight in WI. Our local HS is quite good and could make a run this year. It is where my grandkids will attend HS so SIL, I, and the twins are going to the game this evening. Will be fun. Rikki and I have been well and busy

I can not shake this cough, but I feel fine so will just wait it out. We've had a lot of great weather - highs in the 70s or 80s. That makes for a lot of great golf. There's been almost no rain for weeks, but they are predicting rain for Halloween. I would hate for all the little goblins to be disappointed!
We just celebrated our 31st anniversary. We never do much to celebrate, but my husband got me roses & they are beautiful! I used to say that I had to give birth to get flowers so it's a pretty rare occasion!

ibmjas, My cough lingered for a long time too. It was really frustrating, especially when it would make up at night, but it's finally gone. We've also been rainless for a month. My Mums have all died despite watering them. Thankfully, my roses are still doing well. And the lawn is toast. It looks like our Halloween will be dry and close to 80 degrees! That's crazy. But we might get some rain next week. I hope so. As much as I'm enjoying this weather, we really need it.
