Oh my! I almost forgot today was Monday, mostly because I woke up late and have been scrambling all day.
But it is Monday. I promise to add more to this thread by tomorrow, but right now I have to run out to an appointment.
Hope everyone is doing well and not in the path of any storms. Please feel free to check in.
More soon...

I feel for people in North Carolina dealing with the hurricane. I hope this new hurricane will miss them. I am actually enjoying the high temperatures hitting Arizona. I am able to use my pool for the first time this late in the year. Afternoons are wonderful for reading and sipping on a nice glass of wine. I use to really look forward to the new season of TV shows. Everything has sure changed with all of the paid channels now. I don't pay for the extra channels except for Amazon. I am looking forward to Nov 5th when the election season will be over. Thank goodness I have everything I watch on record so I can skip watching all the terrible adds. I live in one of the states that could decide the election so we get 200% more of the adds.

Last week was not a good week for my family. I was in the hospital for foot surgery. That went well but then thi8ngs went downhill. My husband passed away Sunday, Sept. 29th at 6:40 pm. We think he had a heart attack but don't yet know the official cause of death. I'm so thankful he has no more pain. Watching him suffer was horrible. I feel especially sad for our kids and their husbands. My older daughter is extra sad because her 11 month old won't get to know her grandpa. At least we have pictures of the two of them together. We were married 47 years and I have lots of good memories of our life together.

DrvrTrnr, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss as well as that of your entire family. I can only imagine how difficult this time is for you. Please know that you are in my thoughts, and if there is anything your PFJ friends can do to help make this difficult time easier, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Ugh. I meant to get back to this thread sooner, but my whole family is suffering from a bad cold this week. My husband and daughter are finally feeling better, but I'm still under the weather. I'm really hoping to get a good night sleep tonight and start to feel better!

PTVJ, sorry to hear you've all been sick. Did you take Covid tests? Hubby and I went to Hilton Head his past week. We both had colds. As a precaution I took a Covid test and sure enough we had Covid. We stayed in for days. After my fever broke we went out to eat a couple of times at outside venues. It wasn't the vacation we wanted but if you have to be sick it might as well be in paradise!
Practically everyone I know that thinks they have a cold find out it's actually Covid. Before we went to Hilton Head we flew out to Denver to see my son and I'll bet we caught Covid from the plane.
