How's your week going September 30, 2024

Hi All,

First off, I hope everyone here avoided the worst of Hurricane Helene. I have friends who still can't get in contact with their family members in the Carolinas to make sure they are okay.

We only got some rain here in the Northeast, which we needed as September was quite a dry month. But we're definitely in the middle of fall now. The temps are moderate and the leaves are beginning to turn.

I still haven't had the time to watch Stana Katic's new show Murder in a Small Town. Has anyone else seen it, and if so, what did you think?

My nieces birthday was this weekend and my daughter's birthday is this coming weekend, so we've got a lot going on. I'm sure this week will fly by.

We are getting record heat here in Arizona. We’ve been getting 110°, which is crazy for this time of year. I am really, not complaining as I can still use my pool. Afternoon swims with a nice glass of wine and my favorite book are looking really good.

I programmed in Stana‘s new show, but I miss the first episode. I will have to watch in just figure out what’s going on

Today is Oct. 1st.  Last week it was August.  Somehow I seem to have misplaced the month of Sept! Honestly, where the heck did it go??  Did I do anything special?  Did I have fun? Which is kind of reminding me of my college days, they went by in a blur too.

We had plans last week to go to eastern Tenn (which ages me since it's now TN) but due to the weather (pre Helene) that didn't co-operate, we stayed home.  As I told Mrs. G, it wouldn't be much of an experience in the mountains to hear someone say, "Over there is one of the most beautiful views in the Smokies...if it wasn't pouring down rain."  Which turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we would have been in the midst of Helene, and the devastation is horrible.

Hope everyone has a good week, meanwhile I think I may need to set up a video recording of my days to make sure I don't lost track of October!
