How is it already mid-September? Time is moving much too quickly! Our weekend was perfect, sunny and in the low 80s, but I think that's the last time we may see temps that high for a while. It looks like they're dropping a bit every day. Next Sundays high is only predicted to be 70 degrees. It seems Fall is arriving. I bought some mums to plant in the front yard to go along with the fall weather. I meant to do yardwork this weekend, but we got our Covid booster and flu shot, which left me feeling tired, achy, and with a slight headache for a couple of days. Small price to pay to avoid being very sick in the coming months. But, with lots of rain predicted for Wednesday, I really need to get to that yardwork. And I wanted to ask the group, is anyone here still watching The Rookie? We only watched the first couple of episodes when it came back after the strike, and then we just sort of forgot about it. If you watched, did you enjoy the rest of the season and do you plan to watch the new season when it airs? Okay, now it's your turn. How was your weekend and what do you have planned for your week. Check-in and let us know.

I watched all of the last season of the Rookie. I'm not into his girlfriend or his trainee. Not into Chenford either. I kind of liked the new rich black guy but I hear he's not coming back. Now I mostly watch it out of habit, but I will watch when it comes back and see if it improves.
It's been in the 90s here this week but the humidity has been low so it's quite tolerable. We've had about .5 inch of rain in the past 4 weeks. And that was only because the remnants of Francine came thru. It's really dry and no rain for the rest of the week.

We finally dropped out of triple digits yesterday for the 1st time since mid May. My pool has dropped to 74 so I'm a wimp and will stop doing 6:30am exercises. I will try and get out in the afternoon. Wild fires are going crazy still. My friend has a beautiful home at the base of the Superstitions. There is a fire on the far side of the mountain. He is currently in Mexico visiting his son's family. I hope they can get this under control soon. The Rookie started off well but has gone downhill since. I agree with ibmjas. I record it and will get to the episodes eventually but no hurry. I have been going back and watching the early seasons of NCIS. Tony was really a jerk in the early seasons. I am going back to watch some of the old TV shows early seasons.

I just got back from Texas. We went to visit my aunt. She's 90 and not doing well, so it wasn't the most fun trip. Still, I'm glad we went. I stopped watching NCIS when Ellie left. They had been teasing a relationship with her and Torres. They had done that for years with Tony and Ziva and I felt like I'd wasted my time once again, so I stopped watching. I really don't miss it, but we did start watching NCIS: Sidney, which we enjoy. Not sure if we'll go back to The Rookie. We'll see... Although the weather was in the high 90s in Texas, it's perfect in the Northeast right now. low to mid 70s and sunny. Perfect weather, especially for walking the dog.

Our weather has been quite warm. We just finished a stretch of 12 straight days in the 80's. It was a record for this time of year. We are still going to be higher than normal for a while. Our poor trees do not know what to do! Fall colors are w a y behind. We are not supposed to peak til mid October which is highly unusual. I dropped the class that I was going to take. My Doc told me that my exercise and walking program is excellent for a 78 year old. No tweaking necessary. Good news for me. I took a tumble yesterday while shagging basketballs for my Grandson. My right shoulder is quite sore but nothing broken. Ibuprofen, heating pad, and Aspercreme for me for a few days. It is already starting to feel better. We are going to Door County for a couple of days this week. It's always fun to get away and go there as it is a lovely area. We are also hoping to go up to Minocqua for a couple days when the colors finally arrive. The Chamber of Commerce gives you maps for 3 scenic drives and they are great. We went last year and it was well worth it

PTVJ it's nice that you were able to visit your aunt. I'm sure she was thrilled to see you.
We still watch NCIS. Never thought I would once Gibbs left but I like it pretty well now even without any original cast members! I never truly warmed up to Ellie. She was weird starting out but they made her more normal as time went on, but I wasn't sorry to see her go. I like Katrina Law as Jessica. They have her paired up with Jimmy which seems like an unusual matchup but at least they let somebody get together. I'm actually pretty happy with the current cast. Now I hear they are going to do a series about Gibbs early life.
