How's your week going September 2, 2024

Hi Folks,

I can't believe it's September! Summer went by much too fast. Even with the extreme heat, I'll miss it. And I hope to get one or two more days on the beach before the weather really turns.

School starts this week and the bus will be here at 6:45am, which means getting about 5:30am. Ugh! Even the dog won't be happy about getting up that early.

And today is the day I play my first Christmas carol of the year in honor of my Aunt Mary Lou. She passed away some years ago. She used to throw a Labor Day weekend bbq and in the kitchen, she'd play Christmas carols because she LOVED Christmas and couldn't wait for the season to begin.

There's more to share, but I'll have to do that later.

Yesterday we had one of our rain, wind, lightning storms come thru. I lost a large branch of my Mesquite tree in my front yard. My yard crew showed up this morning and cleaned it up in 30 min for $330. I love that tree and hope it will be ok. I am enjoying watching tennis at the US Open. I hope the American players can win this year. It has been a long time for the men to win.

First day of school and the bus was actually on time! I don't think that's ever happened before. Overall, a good first day. The weather is perfect. 75 degrees and sunny. You can't ask for better than that.

Welcome back Larry Holmes!!

We had a quiet week but the coming week is the start of hectic. The twins are back in school and busy and happy. Pete is playing well in Fall baseball league and Penny starts soccer games soon. Friday night, my SIL and I went to a HS football game which is always fun.

This coming week, we have doctors, book club, crochet group, knitting group, shopping, and I start a class that will run twice a week until the week of Thanksgiving. Busy times ahead
