Hi All, How is your week looking? After last week's plans were canceled due to weather, we're really hoping to get down the shore one day this week. This summer is going by much too fast! Please, check-in and let us know how your week is going.

August 12th is always a special day for me. I attended my first concert in 1966--The Beatles at the International Amphitheater in Chicago! There were at least 5 other acts before the Beatles. They sang only 11 songs (not very many by today's standards), and the ticket was $4.50, lol. If not for a speaker right above my head, I never would've heard a note due to all the screaming.
My husband has had only one round of chemo so far and will have radiation this Thursday. His pain at times is unbearable. He said it feels like someone stuck a knife in his back. Other times he says his back is on fire. Pain management has been difficult but he's doing the best he can. Home health is going to assess his situation this afternoon and recommend available services. Hopefully that will make his life a little more tolerable and give me some relief as well.
There have been storms all around our area. All my neighborhood seems to get is lots of wind, a little thunder, but no rain. We really need some rain to cool things down.

I hope your fishing trip is fun and successful.
I hope they can get meds adjusted so your husband is not in pain.
I enjoyed streaming the Olympics. Saw events I have never watched before.

Have a great trip, larryholmes Hope things get adjusted better for your hubby, DrvrTrnr. So sorry his pain is so bad. We went down to Milwaukee this past weekend. We attended a Celebration of Life party for my best friend. He was retired for just over a year and cancer got him. He and his wife never had a chance to enjoy retirement. Just very sad. He wanted no part of a traditional funeral except for the Prayer Service. He wanted a party to celebrate his life and a party we had with music, food, and open bar. Gail held it at a Hotel and a LOT of people celebrated. It was truly awesome. Bob would of loved it. I will dearly miss my friend of over 40 years. Sunday, we visited my SIL and her husband. We had a very nice time getting caught up on life. We stayed in town til Monday and took a leisurely drive home. This is our last quiet week before life starts to ramp up with Fall baseball for Pete and soccer for Penny. School starts on Sept. 3. We got good news in that our daughter finally got a new job. She had been off for a while. She also starts on the 3rd. Have a good week
