Hi All, Summer always flies by much too fast. I'd been hoping to get back to the beach, but my daughter had art camp last week, and this week she is a volunteer at art camp to help with the younger kids. The weekends are just too crowded, so we're hoping to have another beach day sometime next week as long as the weather looks good. tycho657, are you still watching Castle? How far have you gotten in your rewatch? I'm trying to convince my Mom to watch The West Wing, and we'll watch along with her. It's always been a favorite of mine and I think my Mom will love it. ibmjas, I agree that s'mores pancakes sound far more edible than a s'mores omelette. Chocolate, marshmallow and eggs does not sound like an appetizing combination. DrvrTrnr, I hope things are going better for you and your husband. Insurance issues are always a headache, but when it's delaying serious treatment it can feel like a nightmare. You are in my thoughts. larryholmes, How is your yard looking. I got busy and forgot to water my hanging baskets two days in a row, and I think they are done. I had gotten so use to our getting thunderstorms every evening that I got out of the habit. It's unfair that those flowers die, but the weeds in my yard are growing like crazy! Also, when is your annual fishing trip? Is it coming up soon? geezer2008, I'm so happy to hear that Rikki's scans went well. . Kate and I saw Despicable Me 4 last week, too. It was fun. Next on our list are Fly Me To The Moon and Twisters. Okay, everyone. Check-in and let us know how your week is going.

We have not had any rain for over a week...and almost none for all of July. Several days, the temperatures were at or over 100! There are a bunch of plants I water about 0530 by sprinkler can daily...mostly roses. Dawn also has a couple hose sprinklers that she puts out which come on at 0300 for 45 minutes. Nevertheless, yard is 'burned'. First day of 2024 Great Canada Fishing Adventure Number 20 is 17 August for two weeks. Of course, my brother and I are ready to go! I already Fedexed my gear to him in Iowa. It arrived at his home today. I would never get all my gear through the airport...and, if I did, it would probably arrive in Wyoming anyway. He brings his stuff and mine when he picks me up at Minneapolis Airport. Then, away we go for two weeks in lake complex near Sioux Lookout, Ontario.

tycho657, I am jealous of your pool! That sounds lovely. larryholmes, We get rain or thunderstorms almost every night or morning now. It's great for keeping things green, but we usually try to do the yard work in morning, and the rain has been interrupting that plan. By the time we have a dry morning I fear our weeds will have the power to over take us!

Drvrtrnr I feel really bad for your husband. I certainly hope he can get relief soon. Around here if you have to see a specialist it takes months to get in.
Although we've had several steamy days, we have seldom had days in the 90s and none in the 100s. Hope I didn't just jinx myself. We got the remnants of Beryl so had several days of rain earlier.

It has always been great fishing with Jack. The Holmes Boys are a couple strange fellows. Brothers that never had a 'bad moment'...pretty sure our mom and dad would have settled matters quickly!
